I don't know how to say 'had'

"I had" is "tuve"... pronounced "too-vey", dear Ataloa (good morning and peace to you!). So, you would say "Tuve huevos para desayuno").

Buenas dias, todos! (Good morning, all!)

Estoy TAN contenta de que todos están teniendo un buen rato con esto! (I am SO glad you all are having so much fun with this!)

Pronounced - "Es-toy tahn kohn-tenta dey toe-does es-tan ten-yen-do oon bwain rah-toe kohn es-toe!"

"Odio" que no he participado más, querida Zoe (buenos días y paz a vosotros, también). (I "hate" that I have not participated more, dear Zoe (good morning and peace to you, too!).

Pronounced - "Oy-dee-do kay no eh par-tee-cee-pah-do moss, keh-rree-dah Zoe."

Voy a tratar de publicar otro breve "lección" en un momento. (I will try to post another brief "lesson" in a bit).

Pronounced - "Boy ah trratarr dey poo-bli-karr oh-trro brre-vey "lek-sion" en oon moh-men-to."

LOLOLOLOL! S'all I can offer, right now - LOLOLOLOL!

Por favor, continúe! (Please, continue!)

Hola a todos!(Hi everybody)

Because I think in Spanish sometimes that makes difficult to me the translation when I speak English because some things can't be translated word by word because sometimes doesn't sound well. This is the case with "I had eggs for breakfast". In Spanish "breakfast"(desayunar) can be a verb and as a verb, "breakfast" has conjugations. So in this case you can say "Desayuné huevos". "Desayuné" is the past tense of "breakfast". I hope this little explanation can help you.

PS: Here http://users.ipfw.edu/jehle/COURSES/verbs/desayunar.htm you can see the conjugations of the verb "desayunar".

Breakfast is a verb?

Gracias, Jochy. Desayune huevos. That is much more efficient too.

Hola y buenas dias

cafe para todos

Jochy you are such a great help with the little corrections. Who would have thought breakfast could be used as a verb.

No breakfast this morning = no desayuno esta manana ( I think breakfast is not a verb in this sentence?)

Me too, Zoe. I thought it was nombre. Then my daughter came home from Spanish class one day and said it was 'como te llamas'.

Saludos a todos("Greetings to all")

The word "name" means "nombre" o "llama". I will give some examples:
1) What's your name? ("Cómo te llamas"? "Cuál es tú nombre"?) Both ways are correct.

2) My name is Zoe. ("Mi nombre es Zoe", "Me llamo Zoe") The same here, both are correct and mean the same.

The word "llama" does not always mean name, it can mean "call".
1) She calls me every night. ("Ella me llama cada noche".)

I hope this helps you to understand better.("Espero que esto les ayude a entender mejor".)

Buenos dias a todos.

I think llama is pronounced Yahmoa lol not sounding like a llama animal.

So maybe nombre is better because it means name and llama could mean call, like I am called Zoe.

I learned something from this and thank you again Jochy, your instructions are very easy to follow as they are simply put to us.

You are right, that's another meaning for "llama". Flame is "llama" too.
Sometimes I have hard time speaking English because my accent. I can't pronounce well ship, sheep, cheap, chip. I pronounce each one the same way. My daughter, she speaks perfect English, laughs at me when she tries to that I correctly pronounce each one of those words. For me, those words sound the same

lol! I can just picture this!

All this talk of llama has me remembering a phrase I like to say just because it sounds pretty:

a la llama de mi corazon (to the flame of my heart)

It is a beautiful phrase in deed. Let's practice something, how would you say this in English, "Mi corazón te llama"? NO google translator allowed.

The wright answer will get a "10"
