Comrade Saleh Zaidan, Political Bureau member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and member of the PLO Central Council declared as follows:

The Democratic Front cautions against advantage being taken of the humanitarian truce that is being debated at a regional and an international level, in order to evade the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people at this moment, especially the lifting of the unjust blockade on Gaza and the restoration of normal conditions in the cities, villages and their camps, removed from all forms of Israeli aggressions and interventions.

The Democratic Front also cautions about those voices that ask for the removal weapons of the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip, and considers that this is a very dangerous positions for the future of the Palestinian cause, in the shadow of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory and the expansion of colonial projects in Jerusalem and the West Bank. The Democratic Front affirms that the weapons of the Resistance will not be surrendered nor will they be subject to negotiations as long as one inch of land within the borders of July 4 1967 remains under occupation and threatened by the colonial danger.

The Democratic Front renews the call to consolidate the on site unity between the Palestinian detachments in the framework of a united national resistance front directed by a common post of command and with a unified political reference that would trace, for the Gaza Strip, the plans of its resistance and its confrontation of aggression.
