You decide:

"[Jesus] said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil[/i], and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, [u]he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says." [b]John 8:42-47

I left a verse out... so as not to offend ANYONE. But there is one more. For anyone who might be curious. Whether it's true or not as to ANYONE is based on the above verses.

Which verses came from the mouth of my dear Lord, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah). Whose good for NOTHING servant I, SA, am.

Peace to you ALL!

Servant to the Household of God, Israel, and all those who go with, and a slave of Christ,

SA

What is your point here? Are you saying if a person doesn't understand Jesus's words then they are from the Devil?

The NIV uses the phrase "native language", but that's not quite right, is it? The Greek literally says "ἐκ τῶν ἰδίων" or "from the own" with "own" meaning "one's own, private, personal". There is not word in the Greek indicating language, dialect, speech, etc. there. The NIV appeals to a fairly wide audience, but this seems to be a bit of a stretch in translation. At the same token, "Why is my language not clear to you?" is fairly accurate, the word used for "language" could be translated "dialect" or "speech".

What is the verse that you left out? Feel free to PM me that, if you want. I don't offend easily.

Huh? MY point was why it IS important to speak truth, dear Zoe ( mornin ' and peace to you, dear lady! ). Because some people don't believe it IS important.

If you're asking what my LORD's point was, and you don't get it from his words above, you COULD ask HIM what his point was.

Again, I'm just a good for NOTHING servant and messenger. I learned it so I shared what I learned. NOT as to ANYONE in particular, as I stated, but for those with ears to hear and get the sense of it. Quite possibly, they will also hear, then, when the Spirit and the Bride say to THEM:

"Come! Take LIFE's "water"... the holy spirit of God, the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... which water... His blood, breath, and seed... is poured out from the innermost parts His Son, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah)... who IS that Life... FREE!"

I hope that helps, truly!

Your servant and a good for nothing slave of Christ,

Shel, who, again, did not mean to offend ANYONE... but only to share the truth of what my dear Lord SAID... versus what many falsely TEACH...

I took it to mean "natural" language, as in HIS (own) language, yes, dear LQ (peace to you, dear one!). His "first" tongue... or the "tongue" that is NATURAL (native) to him. That which he speaks... FIRST. Because he COULD have [spoken] truth... had he CHOSE to.

The MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... cannot lie. Cannot. Everyone else, however, can choose: to speak truth... or speak the lie.

I hope this helps!

Peace to you!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

And therefore, in choosing what to speak, they choose to follow the father of the lie, or to follow the Father of the Truth.

Peace to you!
Your servant, and sister, and a fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Yep. We CHOOSE, dear one (peace!). As Adham, Cain... and others chose. Maybe that was my point, too.

Peace!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

I get It now, and of course I agree speaking truth is very important.

I was just wondering if there was a hidden message since you said you didn't post all the verse so as not to offend someone.

Religions obscure and twist truth so much that it no longer resembles the original meanings. They do it for their own selfish personal agendas. They appoint representatives of God to tell us what to believe which always ends up in lies.

I didn't post the last part of verse 47, dears one (peace to you all!). I didn't want anyone to take what I shared PERSONALLY and so asked to leave that out. I was told that could CHOOSE to include it or not.

See, that really is the thing when it comes to JAH, Christ, hearing, listening, obeying, love... etc. It all comes down to what we CHOOSE... and WHO... we CHOOSE to listen to, imitate... obey. We are not MADE to do ANYTHING.

Even speak truth.

We can always ASK if we need to learn to do so, though.

Psalm 25:4; 143.10

I hope this helps!

Peace to you ALL!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar
