I saw this in the news today and wondered what you all think of this. Seems strange and I wonder why it would be dressed as a Priest if it was an Angel. My thoughts are that it was a coincidence but others are suggesting he was an angel in disguise because he didn't show up in photos.

Why wouldn't it be dressed as a priest? Since the circumstances warranted a priest, (to all except atheists and Jehovah's Witnesses).

I am sure, Zoe, that you are familiar with the term "angels in disguise". Hebrews 13:2: "be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."

Also, remember the Old Testament story of the men who were angels coming to Abraham: Genesis 18:2.

Then there is Jacob and the angels: Genesis 32.

And Tobias and the angel in the Book of Tobit, sadly left out of Protestant Bibles but found in the Apocrypha, where it is the archangel Raphael who met the blinded Tobias and healed him.

Not to mention the archangel Gabriel who announced to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus.

Angels are real and surround us. Thank goodness.

Isaiah 6: 1-4. Ezekiel Chapter 10:9-20. Psalm 34: 7, 91:10-13, 103:21.

And remember, we each have a guardian angel. Again, Psalm 91:11, and especially Matthew18:10 where He said "See that you never despise these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven are continually in the presence of my Father in heaven."

I really like the thought that there are Angels among us but why do they pick one person but not another? Appearing as a priest makes sense because a priest is recognized as a giver of a prayer. If he posed as a JW that might not work so well lol.

I don't know what to believe, I am so gullible a lot of the time but I liked the story and the real life happy ending.

Just now I saw this on Facebook on the group Evidence of harm by religion - they mock this book and the author. I see a lot of people think angels are a fairy tale, but I am curious so I got the book on my Kindle and will give it a try

I cannot say as to this experience in your article, and I do not expect anyone to take my word for my own experience... nor do I worry about others experiences either, unless they contradict Christ and God. But from what I understand, there are angels on the earth.

Not so sure that each of us has a 'guardian angel'... as Christ is speaking specifically about children in that verse. Christ does send angels to where He needs or wants them to go though, and perhaps also due to a request on faith made by those who do belong to Him.

I was not expecting to hear you say there is Angels among us on earth. I find that very interesting, some people would say they were aliens though lol.

Sooo funny you say that, lol.

Hubby is very much into aliens Some stuff is very interesting if you watch those ancient alien programs. I have watched some with him... and while they are saying aliens... I am recognizing 'angel/seraphim/dragon/spirit'.

Some of the things that they are calling 'alien technology', I am recognizing... power of Jah, power of the spirit, His energy.

I think aliens are simply more acceptable, and 'modern'.

Something for some to look at instead of looking at God, Christ, the spiritual.

But it can make for some interesting (and small - because we are being careful around each other on this matter at the moment) conversations with my hubbie ; ) But at least it has opened up a point of origin FOR dialogue.

John believes in Aliens too and is a huge science fiction (non-fiction to him) fan.

I have never encountered an angel or an alien but I believe there has to be life forms other than us on earth and maybe some who we think are human are really diguised Angels.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

Well I just thought Angels in our day and age was a fairy tale, funny that my JW upbringing said that demons were o be feared but no talk of angels

I am liking this news flash ( new to me) about angels, why didn't I think it was for real all these years ?

I believe in God so yes, I believe in angels and demons.
Do I KNOW they are amongst us?
I know that demons are, that said, I have never felt the presence of an angel, not that I can recall....

I have actually encountered both.

On one very joyful occasion, I felt surrounded and uplifted by rejoicing angels.

On other occasions, I have been, and always am, very aware of demons and evil. The secret then is to focus one's mind on Jesus, to stay mentally close to him, and to have faith in God.

My father, in the First World War, experienced the physical presence of angels when in the trenches he was given a mental picture of how to save his men, which he did.

The person that helped has been identified and found

Perhaps we are all Manchurian Angels just waiting for our time to act.
