For the record... I need no symbol, and I have no symbols. Why would I need a symbol to remind me of Christ, when He IS with me in spirit?

I would also like to make an observation... that this topic... an excellent topic by the way... has been derailed INSTEAD of dealing with the topic raised. By ad hominem, and completely off topic remarks about the faith of other people.

If you have something to say about the topic, and can back it WITH something other than ad hominem... then again, do so. Otherwise, you are fooling yourself if no one can see that tactic for what it is. A lack of rebuttal... and so a distraction from the truth instead. A tactic we should all be well aware of, because it was used by a certain group of people elsewhere.

Just sayin.

Peace,
tammy

Ah, Sab... you have no idea how that one thing you said... be silent woman... speaks about you!

Well, I would say it speaks more about Paul than me. I am just using the rules of YOUR apostle, not mine. To me he was just a brilliant epileptic who wasn't strong enough to take responsibility for his own ideas. Can you imagine what he would think of Shelby? Rod of discipline, for sure.

Now, we BOTH know that THAT's not the truth. Else, you wouldn't cry so much that no one is listening to YOU... but everyone SHOULD... while having problems that it seems people ARE listening to ME. They're not. They're just listening to what I am sharing as to the One they SHOULD be listening to... and do/are trying to. The One YOU should have listened to... before you blasphemed. Because he DID allow me to warn you so as to keep you from doing it. Unfortunately, your "righteous indignation" has led you to it.

Be silent, woman (1 Corinthians 14:34).

Sab Sab....

No can do! Not gonna happen! Unscriptural actually.

Psalms 68:11

The Lord gives the word, and a great army* brings the good news.
Footnote:
* Or a host of women.

The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:

The Lord gives the word; the women who announce the news are a great host:

The Lord gives the *command; The women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:

The Lord gives the command; great is the host of those who bore the tidings:

The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host.

The Lord doth give the saying, The female proclaimers [are] a numerous host.

The body of CHRIST is called a BRIDE, so I think maybe you might need to rethink your position on the matter. You might be more of a girl than you think :8O g:) therefore you may need the silence!?????

I know, she'll probably just re-translate the scripture.

Nope. She'll just say Paul isn't her leader and so his words don't apply to her.

Quote:
Hopefully one day she'll learn to respect her superiors.

She already does. Praise JAH, for her, but sadly, for you... and dear Paul... neither of you are among them.

As to remark as to a missing smilie, dear Pup (peace to you, luv!)... nothing was missing. The words themselves speak as to the intent.

As to the verses you posted, dear 'Mom (peace to you, as well!)... all I can say is... "Ohooooo... SNAP!" Don't think our resident kindergartener will get it, though...

Peace, all!

A slave of Christ,

Shellama

Ok, so let me get this straight. You believe that the Holy Spirit is God's active force which fills you up as his bride? That's a pretty vulgar concept if you ask me and insulting to the divine.

A better way to describe the Bride of Christ would be NEW JERUSALEM. You know how we personify cars, cities and planets? We call the earth a HER. God calls New Jerusalem HER. The Bride is more like a winnebago with people in it rather than just the people. I can see these ideas will not be well received here, so I will not elaborate. You are in left field, not I.

Sab, Define superiors? Are you referring to YOU as her superior?

Might be best to stay a rhetorical question.

No left field here Sab.

I accept New Jeruselum as well of course. But she is still called " New Jeruselum coming down out of heaven prepared as a bride ."

It was only because you are the one having a problem with women based on your comment above to Shelby. I have no problem with it being a Winnebago either.

Woman issues is WT baggage and mommy issues. Not sure what it is exactly but there is ONE that you can heal you of this my brother.

Love to you ( as a mom)
Justmom.

Then why do you keep catching pop flies on that side of the field?

Yes, a bride prepared FOR CHRIST as the husband. It's like a father giving his son a new house filled with servants who adore him. I like to think of it like a ship from Star Trek!

ME? Problem with women? For quoting a Christian founder and expecting a self professed Christian to follow the rules? Don't you believe Paul was hand picked by Christ himself? He was a flagrant sexist.

Um, Sab... you are making an issue out of something that was never an issue... at least not from us... regarding Paul.

We know who WE listen to, and that is Christ. Not Paul, nor anyone or anything else... just Christ.

AS the forum says... xjws FOR CHRIST.

Lol... I don't know how to emphasize that enough.

Peace,
tammy

So.... why did Christ choose Paul then? Did he NEED Paul to do something that he couldn't himself accomplish? It's almost like he wanted him to... write something down... like... 1 Corinthians 14:34 per chance? How do you reconcile being so at odds with the Christian church founders? The hand chosen man of the risen Christ? Would he not frown at your admin tag?

Just an FYI, that passage from Paul is one of the most contested by scholars and many are of the opinion that it was an extrapolation from a source other than Paul.

And quite using my name, my ears are burning !!
