I mean, I think it would be cool to know we have a bona fide sage (and absolutely NO snark intended) among us, reflexive low-lifes that some of us can be from time to time - LOLOLOL!

Phew!

I log on in trepidation and find canine peacefulness.

I'm sure all that is found here has been uttered or written down already by Marcus Aurelius in his text "Meditations" ;P

Upon further reflection I believe that my character has probably been influenced a great deal by Marcus. I remember reading that book in middle school and I guess I have subconsciously kept many of his sayings close to heart

I realize you stated the quotes here are for you, dear Pup (peace to you!), so if my adding to them is out of line, just lemme know - we can start a new thread. For now, this one, shared with me by dear 'Mom (peace, luv!):

I LOVE it!! Me? Knock ME the heck OUT, if you must, with truth... but keep yer lyin' lips away from my face! 'Cause there's usually some teeth... and deadly venom... behind lyin' lips. I might be battered and bruised... and sportin' a black eye... when I wake up from being knocked out by truth... but I WILL wake up. But the results of the venom behind lying lips is usually a slow, calm, "soothing"... maybe even "nice" feeling... sleep... that one doesn't ever wake up from!

I'll take the punch of truth full on, ANY day... and maybe buy myself some new teeth later. But I'm gonna do a WHOLE lot of "bobbin' and weavin'" to avoid those "soft" lyin' lips, you betcha!
