Peace to you, skally!
I must disagree. Arguing one lie while embracing and promoting another lie... this is not something that I can agree is nicely done. I am guessing that you meant it is nicely done that he called them out on their false teachings... but what good is that really, if what you are then teaching in its place is also false?
Leave one lie for another and you still believe a lie.
The "born again" evangelist said to them that everything that happens is the will of God. The good, the bad, and the ugly... so to speak. As my Lord asked me - if that were true, then why did He direct us to pray that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven? If nothing is outside of God's will... and everything done is according to His will... then why pray that His will BE done?
The evangelist also said to the jws that God is the one who pointed out the tree of knowledge of good and evil; that God is the one who sent the serpent to deceive Eve... that Eve never really had a choice... that it was God's will that she and Adam do as they did, failing a test that He set up for them to fail, then punishing them FOR having failed, even though they had no real choice because it was His will.
I mean, no wonder some - those who do not know that Christ is the one to whom they must turn, that Christ is the Truth and Word of God, and the One they must listen TO - stay in the wts when reasoning like that is what 'appears' to be the only alternative. Not just stay where they are, but where some flee TO, when fleeing the rest of BTG, recognizing the lies in her... but still not knowing CHRIST, and that He is the one to whom we must flee TO.
This is what my Lord has taught me:
Love does not judge someone for what they have not done. And while one (God) may know what is going to happen... love (God) always hopes! Hopes that those warned may hear and heed the warning and teaching, so that they may turn and be healed, and not perish or sin.
Because love does not prejudge someone. Love does not condemn someone for something that they have not yet done... and certainly does not set up a trick test that no one has a choice to 'pass'. Love WARNS and TEACHES... as God warned and taught Adam and Eve NOT to eat of that tree or they would die. As God warned Cain that sin was crouching at his door, and he needed to conquer that sin.
God also does not have to 'choose' not to know what is going to happen. That reasoning comes from not understanding that while God may know what is going to happen... LOVE (which God IS) ALWAYS HOPES.
God may know what another is going to choose - because of what is in them - but love warns, love teaches, love hopes, love is merciful and forgiving... and yes, love (God) provides a way BACK home for those who want to come back to Him. As He has provided in Christ. As He has also warned, taught, hoped, shown mercy, and forgiven.
And if God did not allow us to answer for ourselves against those (the adversary) who are accusing us (especially those of us who WANT the freedom TO show our love and faith for christ and God)... then is He not saying already before we have done anything wrong, that we are not able to have faith, or to love, or to resist the lies of the adversary, or to learn even if we do wrong, and perhaps turn and repent and be healed and do right? Could Noah have been revealed for his faith, or Abraham, or Job, or Daniel who is highly esteemed, or any of the prophets or any of the sons of God... been revealed OR been called righteous or faithful or friends of God or highly esteemed? Those beautiful gifts would be DENIED them.
Don't get me wrong. None of those men (and women) thought themselves to be anything special. They were humble before God, and servants to those God sent them TO, and they placed their hope and faith in God. But how could they have done that if He never allowed them the freedom to do that?
Thank God that we have Christ to teach, and rebuke (those I love, I rebuke and discipline), and subdue, and to help us up when we do stumble and to search for us when we are lost and call us back to Him. But as His Father does, so does the Son allow us the freedom to choose. To BE obedient. To exercise our faith and our love... and 'shame the devil' so to speak, and to show ourselves AS sons of God.
May those who wish them be given ears so as to hear the truth of God FROM the Truth of God: Christ. To also hear if they wish, when the Spirit and Bride say to them, to you, "Come... take the gift of the water of life FREE!"
Peace to you, your servant and a slave of Christ, tammy
