in vertebrates than previously thought... and outside of captivity (peace to you all!). Apparently, while previously observed in reptiles, birds, and sharks in captivity, scientists have now observed where such occurs in "vipers" in the wild:

True, virgin births among vertebrates is rare; however, evidently not impossible. Is it possible that they will one day "discover" that, while even more rare, it also occurs in "higher" vertebrate life forms, say, rats... rabbits... monkeys... chimps? And perhaps even once in an even "higher" life form - man? Just sayin'.

Personally, I LOVE science, as it always seems to tell us that what we thought, said, "know" is "true"... is NOT... but much to the contrary! I do take issue with the fomenters of science as an absolute... because they often base truth on what we "know" NOW... and not what we MIGHT know much, much later.

Anyway, thought I'd share that article with you all. BTW - It was also interesting to me that they tend to find this phenomena in "creeping" things and "flying" things. And sharks, which live in water...

Peace!

A slave of Christ,

SA

It only took 2000 years for science to take the place of the HS and make it so that a virgin can conceive and still be a virgin.
Imagine 2000 years from now, what science will have "proven" to us.

Indeed, but my point is that, while some have ridiculed the silly "myth" of the virgin birth since they have no time for "miracles", the fact is that miracle is NO LONGER a miracle or to be viewed as such.
A virgin birth is NOT impossible or even improbable nowadays.
WHat the HS did with the "manipulation" of energy and matter, science has done with surgery NOW, but with science getting ever closer to a better understanding or energy and matter and how to "manipulate it", who knows what the next 1000 years may bring.

So many of the "Miracles" in the bible have been shown to be possible in nature ( extreme yes, but still possible).
A "walking" pillar of fire, winds strong enough to "part the sea" come to mind.

Oh, I got your point, dear one (peace to you!). Some look at "miracles" as events having "no explanation"... or at least, no empirical explanation. But this is not what I've learned from my Lord. Based on what I've learned from him ALL things have an explanation. Some are empirical, some are spiritual... and all true ones (vs. fabricated) have an explanation although maybe not currently known.

The thing is that science cultists (doh, did I say thaaat??) tend to believe that if it can't be PROVEN by science NOW... then it isn't. That's because for them "truth" is not based on truth itself... but only on what they can perceive at a given time (often based on what others perceive/tell them to perceive).

The WONDERFUL thing about the spirit, and particularly one that is FREE... is that it can hear and see beyond what we can perceive empirically. True, our imaginations can take us way "out there" if we let them... but that's why it helps to only look as far as the Christ. Look to/at him, the Truth... so as to SEE truth. As far as him... and no further than him.

And so while our limited minds can't understand how someone can, say, walk on water, our FREED minds can understand that the physical is NOT all that exists, that there IS a spiritual, that it is not bound by the limitations of the physical... by means of which the physical can TRANSCEND... and hence, walking on water IS possible.

But only under those circumstances! And so, if one can't perceive beyond the physical, one will most likely have a [very] hard time perceiving the things that can be... and be done... by means of the spiritual. And I don't mean fairies, pixies, or mythical dragons.

I would offer one word of advise to those who are skeptical as to the spiritual and how science actually can corroborate: patience. Okay, two words: great patience. Perhaps even a lifetime's worth. Perhaps even 10 lifetime's worth. If one's hope is in this life, a lifetime, then, might seem like "forever" and waiting impossible.

If one's hope is in eternity, however, time... will "fly".

Again, peace to you, my dear!

YSSFS of Christ,

SA

Yeah, well, whenever I've tried to do it, dear HP (peace to you, dear one!), either my ankles got wet (heck, my knees!) or I fell on my... well, you know what I mean. I've decided, then, to leave it to those who NEED to do it, for whatever reason... and just wait until I can fly - LOLOLOL!

Peace and wink-wink!

That sounds a lot like WT mentality, lol Until they can prove it or experience it then it can't be truth! Just thought of that sorry might of off topic
