AGUEST SAIDin vertebrates than previously thought... and outside of captivity (peace to you all!). Apparently, while previously observed in reptiles, birds, and sharks in captivity, scientists have now observed where such occurs in "vipers" in the wild:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/48995742#.UFDOkK79yuI True, virgin births among vertebrates is rare; however, evidently not impossible. Is it possible that they will one day "discover" that, while even more rare, it also occurs in "higher" vertebrate life forms, say, rats... rabbits... monkeys... chimps? And perhaps even once in an even "higher" life form - man? Just sayin'.
Personally, I LOVE science, as it always seems to tell us that what we thought, said, "know" is "true"... is NOT... but much to the contrary! I do take issue with the fomenters of science as an absolute... because they often base truth on what we "know" NOW... and not what we MIGHT know much, much later.
Anyway, thought I'd share that article with you all. BTW - It was also interesting to me that they tend to find this phenomena in "creeping" things and "flying" things. And sharks, which live in water...
Peace!
