My word for the day is necistar = Need

Necisto cafe = I need coffee

Hola Zoe, you are doing great, but a little correction here.

need= n e c e s i t a r

necesito café= I need coffee.

A great exercise is conjugating verbs. This is an example of the verb to need in present tense:

presente(present tense)
yo(I)........................................................................necesito

tú(you singular and casual)........................................necesitas

él, ella, eso, usted(he,she,it,you singular and formal)...necesita

nosotros(we)............................................................necesitamos

ellos, ellas, ustedes(they,you plural)...........................necesitan

*In English "you" can be used in singular and plural.
*In Spanish "you" in singular is "usted" and in plural is "ustedes".
*In Spanish "you" if is used in a formal way is "usted" and in a casual way
is "tú".
*In Spanish "they" has gender, masculine is "ellos" and femenine is "ella".
See you later. Nos vemos luego.

OMG... and WHOO-HOO!! Peace to you and THANK you, dear Jochy!!! I am SO behind in posting Spanish stuff (due to other pressing stuff) - I am SO glad you can help! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Okay, children, listen up: since we now have another wonderful and willing professor (and possible substitute teacher - LOL!) along with dear PSacto and dear GLTirebiter)... I expect you all to arrive on time and pay close attention! Visit the restroom before coming to class, sharpen your pencils before taking your seats, do not pass any notes (keep your puppy love on the playground)... and NO SPITBALLS!

Show these dear instructors that I trained you well... and I will return soon!

Peace... and behave yourselves! LOLOLOLOLOL!

Dang, Outlaw...I knew you should have come back in here and cut up while Teacher was still out of the room.

Buenas dias a todos.

Olvido mi cafe.
Cafe es una palabra buena.
Necesito mi cafe.

Me gusta mi cafe negro. (I like my coffee black)

Que es la palabra del dia para el viernes? (What is the word of the day for Friday?)

Hola mis amigos como esta usted?

Joshy, muchos gracious por la leccion espanolos.

I put it in my Spanish document to study. I am still having trouble conjugating verbs, I like 2 word sentences too.

My words for today are words I like saying and I know I say them well lol as I used them a lot in Mexico while on holiday.
Eggs - huevos
Milk - leche
butter - mantquilla
toast - pan tostado

Me gustaria por favor, dos huevos con pan tostado y mantiquilla

Me gustaria por favor cafe con leche or do I have to say Me gustaria?

I thought it was quisierra that means I would like, so is that better than me gustaria

My sentence structure is probably all mixed up??

oops I mispelled the butter word = mantiquilla

Buenos días, cómo está usted hoy? Good morning, how are you today?
You are doing great! Remember, when you say "Hola mis amigos como esta usted"? You started the conversation in plural(mis amigos),so you need to end it in plural. "como está usted" is singular, so in plural would be "cómo estáN ustedES".

The way you ordered your breakfast it is completely OK. "I would like" is the same that "Me gustaría" and "Quisiera". Pretty soon we will be having a good conversation in Spanish. I think the most difficult part to learn is conjugating verbs. I still have problems with some verbs tense and with regular and irregular verbs in English. In Spanish is more difficult. I make many mistakes myself in English, so please feel free to correct me, I really NEED to learn the language well.

Hasta luego amiga mia. See you later my friend.

Jochy muchos gracious for your help. Yes I do not know how to change the verbs at all, that will take a lot of practice.

como estan ustedes instead of como esta usta if I say mis amigos. Now I must use that everyday to remember it

Muchas gracias a tí Zoe. Thanks a lot to you. I know it is not an easy task to learn a new language, but is not impossible and you're on track. The important thing is how much you wish it.

Sincerest thanks from ME, dear Jochy (buenas dias, mi hermano y paz a usted!). I am SO glad and grateful for your help here; it is RIGHT on time! I got started and then all KINDS of things have started happening... including distracting posts (LOLOLOL!)... so I am SO glad you don't mind helping these dear ones out. I can't thank you enough!

And to the students: you are doing WELL! Keep up the good work... and continuing "behaving" in class!

Peace to you all!

Your servant, sister, fellow student (and perhaps former Spanish instructor - LOLOL!)... and slave of Christ,
