Peace to you.

Some time ago, I was thinking about why we eat/drink both the body and the blood of Christ. The new covenant (and forgiveness of sins) is in His blood, so I understood that, in partaking of the wine that is His blood. But I was looking at the 'bread', and I was wondering... what do we eat this bread for?

I was not questioning why we eat and drink of Him. I was just curious about why the bread, instead of just the blood.

Then I heard and understood that this (the bread that is His body) is the manna from heaven that sustains us in the wilderness.

And I was like, "Oh of course!"

I mean, I knew that... but it just sort of struck home at that moment.

It is just as the Israelites ate the manna in the desert to sustain them. We are in the wilderness - as Shelby has shared as she heard from our Lord Jaheshua. That place between "Egypt" (and slavery there) and the Paradise. We are FREE here, but not YET in the Kingdom. But our Lord has given us His flesh to sustain us DAILY while we are here in the wilderness, and of course His blood.

"I am the bread of life. Your forefathers at the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If a man eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

I am sure that most of you understand this already. We eat of his body and of his blood, for He IS the TRUE bread that came down from heaven, that we may eat OF Him, and have life in us (because HE - the Life - is in us), and live forever. We eat of His body and blood if we want to remain in Him and Him in us. We eat of His body and blood if we love Him, of course, because He said to do so, and"

"If anyone loves me, they will obey my teachings. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with them."

We eat of Him because His flesh is real food and His blood is real drink... and it is HE who sustains us here in the wilderness, where we are... freed from 'Egypt' (and slavery there), but not yet IN the promised land.

May you again have peace!

May all who wish them be given ears to hear the Spirit and the Bride say to YOU, "Come!" And let Him who hears say "Come!" And let ALL who thirst and ALL who seek, "Come... take the free gift of the water of life!"

Your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,

After I had read the above what I immediately heard was that since it represents Christ's body, we partake of it to remain in union with him...as a part of his body. And my spirit bears witness to what you went on to say Tammy, yes!

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Good Mornimg my sisters and YES to what you both have shared....

It is obedience to what our Lord tells us to do now and prepares us for when we will eat of his flesh in the kingdom literally as the Angels do NOW.

As with reference to the Israelites in the wilderness...

Psalms 78:25
"Men ate the very bread ( manna) of Angels."

In the kingdom our bodies will be able to sustain/ handle the dynamic energy that comes from eating our Lords flesh then!

Whether NOW or THEN, Christ as the true manna from heaven is the one who gives life. There is no other means.

May those as well as Tammy shared that wish....be given ears to hear the Spirit which IS our Lord and His bride say, " Come! And those thirsting...Come and take life's water which is holy spirit FREE!"

Enjoy your day ladies, peace to you and your household,
Your sister and fellow slave of Christ, Kim

YES, girl!! LOLOLOL! (peace to you, chile'!)

And YES!!! to you, TOO, dear Loz-Girl (peace to you, as well, luv!)

As our dear Lord is recorded to have said:

"Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me." John 6:53-57

Which is why John was shown what he was:

"... the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city." Revelation 22:1, 2

Remember, the BODY is the "city", the NEW "Jerusalem." Revelation 20:9; 21:2, 3

Then John shared:

"On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse." Revelation 22:2, 3

The "fruit" is the fruit of the spirit, which is "PRODUCED" by the "Tree of Life"... the TRUE "vine" that JAH planted in Eden... and the "leaves" are the manna, the bread from heaven... the "flesh" of Christ. That is what "rained down" on the Israelites. It is what ALL spirits, whether in human vessels or spirit vessels MUST eat... in order to live FOREVER:

Compare Genesis 2:8, 9; 3:22, 24 with John 15:1-8, Romans 11:17, 18, 24; 15:12; Isaiah 11:1, 10; Deuteronomy 29:4-6 and Psalms 78:25

Then compare Genesis 2:20a; Revelation 22:1, 2 with John 4:10, 13, 14; 7:37-39; Exodus 7:2, 16; Exodus 29:41; Numbers 6:17; 15:5; 20:8; 1 Corinthians 10:3, 4, 15-17; 11:23, 26, 29, 30

There is a literal plethora of scriptures/verses to help us SEE what the "tree" and "water" are all about. Or rather WHO and what they are... and what "partaking/drinking" of them means/does for US. These are just some of them. They are not just OUT there, though... because remember, truth is something we must SEARCH for, like searching for "pearls" of great value. If they were just laying in the street, ANYONE could take them up... and so, they really wouldn't have any REAL value at all, would they? When they are scarce, however, or hard to find... or hard to extract... then their value goes up, yes? Sometimes, WAY up... often depending on the COST that must be expended TO extract them!

So, please, if you are inclined to, don't ask, "Well, why doesn't God just TELL us these things??!" He DID. WE... mankind, then Israel... and now "christians"... didn't/don't LISTEN. We, who live today, are at the other end of God's direct dealings with mankind. And sometimes in our own selfishness ("ME! ME!")... we dismiss the need to try and understand what God IS... so that it is dangerous for US, mere flesh... for HIM to deal with directly, rather than through a "screen"... His Word. And, what occurred, starting with the man Adham, and since... that has made dealing with us directly via the FLESH... even MORE dangerous for our SPIRITS.

KEEP seeking, though, and do not give UP... and you WILL find. Perhaps starting with just a pearl of small value. But where there is one pearl... there are others. MANY others. Just not sitting out on the road for any, including those who would not PROPERLY value them... to take... and squander.

I hope those of you who are still having difficulty grasping the truth and IMPORTANCE of understanding what these things REALLY mean... Who and what... are able to do so. The ETERNAL life of you... and your household... just may depend on it. Of course, these aren't the only things: one can eat and drink... yet, do so without fully understanding and DISCERNING just what it is... WHO it is... they are partaking OF... and FROM. Which is important because of the "commands" (to love) that go WITH such partaking. A lack of one (partaking) is disobedience. And lack of love WHILE partaking may be even worse, as one MAY be eating and drinking judgment (the same as they heap on others) upon themselves.

BUT... WONDERFUL post/topic, dear sisters... and a great way to start MY "Sunday" morning!

Peace to you, ALL!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel, who started and posted this before seeing your comments, dear, dear 'Mom (mornin' and peace to you, m'luv!)...

Yes.

You know, this brings to mind:

"The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

This also brings to mind the spiritual food (also manna) that we are given NOW by Christ. Such as when He reveals something to us in the spirit, teaches us something, or opens our eyes and/or ears to a truth that we had not seen before, or to understanding revelation. Finding those pearls that Shelby mentioned in her post above (peace also to you!). This spiritual "food at the proper time" given to us by the faithful and discreet slave, who is CHRIST, the Holy Spirit.

This food also sustains us... our faith and our spirit. And He gives to us what/how much we are willing and able to receive, and of course according to His and His Father's will, as they know is needed at any given time. While we may sometimes want more and think that we can handle more (the spirit is willing), He knows what we can and cannot yet bear.

Including, I think, when our flesh cannot bear to receive more. I know that sometimes I am left feeling so breathless (and energized, mind you), that i am literally pacing after receiving something to work off excess energy (excess for my flesh, at least), until such a time as I can share what I have received. This is one of the reasons that what is given must BE given; it must come out. We MUST share.

This manna given us also sustains us until the next time we are given 'food', no matter when that next time is. We must keep faith in Christ. Rather than being afraid that perhaps we will starve out here in the wilderness, that the 'manna' is not coming. Because to fear that is a lacking in faith in CHRIST. He won't be the One to forget about US. And He has told us NOT to be afraid.

And in the meantime we also have the daily sacrifice to partake of (the bread and wine that is the body and blood of Christ)... daily, to keep us in Him, and Him in us.

The Spirit reminds me now of this in response to the Adversary tempting Him in the desert:

‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Christ IS the Word of God, the true bread from heaven, the Life (and so the Tree of Life), and the Faithful and discreet slave who gives to us our 'food at the proper time'. Spiritual food.

Praise Jah, and His Son and Word and Holy Spirit, Jaheshua, the Chosen One of Jah.

Peace to you,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Greetings One and All. May each of you have Peace as our Lord gives it. As for "partaking,"

When we partake of “His Flesh” and drink “His Blood,” we are coming into “union” with Him, as He so states. We become “His Bride,” yes, every one of us, whether we now are male or female, we become His Bride, His Wife. Note (King James version) Ephesians 5:22-33:

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

[Thus, in partaking, we are declaring that:]

30 [] WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY, OF HIS FLESH, AND OF HIS BONES.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 THIS IS A GREAT MYSTERY: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

We become “united” with Christ as a wife does to her husband. “Holy spirit,” which is God’s breath, His force, His water, His blood, is ALSO His semen—the means by which we become one with Him, with Them. We are the “Bride” soon to be wed, soon to have a resurrection or twinkling, soon to have a “reception,” and soon to be fully consummated with our Lord. Right now, the holy spirit we receive is a “token” a “pledge” (2 Corinthians 1:22)—an engagement ring of sorts—of that which is to come.

Again, may you ALL have Peace.

I have read MANY posts tonight (peace to you, all!)... and would comment to most/all, but unfortunately I've had a LONG day and am quite tired, so will limit my responses to only a few tonight and perhaps address the others... but I NEED to comment on this one, dear Armand (peace to you, dear, dear brother!) and I hope you can take my comments in the spirit of LOVE... and need for accuracy... that supports them. You posted, dear one:

When we partake of “His Flesh” and drink “His Blood,” we are coming into “union” with Him, as He so states. We become “His Bride,” yes, every one of us, whether we now are male or female, we become His Bride, His Wife.

A LOT of folks "partake" of the bread and wine; however, that does not make them part of "we" (and I KNOW there are those who would take exception to this but I MUST state what is TRUE). MANY of those THINK they are "calling upon the name of" and "serving" the Son of God. Sadly, they are not. Just as the Pharisees, etc., believed THEY were serving JAH... there are many who say, "Lord, Lord...". Yet, what did our Lord say of them?

What distinguishes those who TRULY belong to Christ... and those who only THINK/SAY they do? Holy spirit, yes. But more so, "He that does the will of my Father" and "do(es) the things that [our dear Lord] says. What they do NOT do... is engage in spiritual ADULTERY. I.e., follow ANOTHER man's "law." ANY other man's law... that is in opposition to CHRIST's law. Which law... is fulfilled by love.

Unfortunately, MANY who partake of bread and wine BELIEVE they are partaking of the flesh and blood of Christ. But... ARE they? Is what they are eating and drinking TRULY the flesh and blood of the Son of God... OR is it merely bread... and wine? Depends. On what? On their WORKS. You see, one CANNOT be partaking of the flesh and blood of Christ... AND/WHILE partaking of the table of... demons. BAD spirits.

Is one judging his/her brother/sister? Is one supporting the murder of his/her brother/sister in the name of "patriotism"? Is one going along with wicked men who are oppressing, enslaving, misleading, spiritually killing... even literally murdering... his/her brother/sister (in Christ)? If so, one is "eating and drinking JUDGMENT... against himself/herself. One is NOT, however, in union with Christ.

How do we KNOW? We KNOW... because there is NO fellowship between the Light... and the Darkness. And NO harmony between Christ and Bel'iJah'El. NO agreement... between the temple of GOD... and idols. We don't need Paul to tell us that; TRUTH tells us that.

And so, one can partake all one wants to. IF, however, one is not at least TRYING to do the will of the Christ, which will is ALSO the will of the FAATHER, Who is the MOST Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, then their partaking is nothing more than eating some bread and drinking some wine. It might be fooling (some of) man(kind)... but it isn't fooling JAH, Christ, or any spirit being, whether good OR bad.

Partaking is not a magic talisman that brings one "luck." It is SUPPOSED to represent the body and blood of CHRIST. One cannot partake today... and then say it's okay to kill one neighbor... or even one's enemies... for the sake of one's COUNTRY. Nor is it okay to partake, yet sit quiet while KNOWING that one's brother is being persecuted by others claiming some authority from Christ. The Christ... does not persecute. DID not persecute.

I am sorry, dear brother, because I KNOW you didn't mean "everyone who eats/drinks" the so-called symbols of our dear Lord's flesh and blood. But I couldn't let this thread pass without clarifying. I just couldn't. I know you understand.

Peace to you... and to you ALL.

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

Good morning everyone and peace to you all this day....

I would like to add to what Shelby shared and has been mentioned before that this is what is meant in 1 Corinthians 11: 27-29 when we are told to " truly discern the body" the bread of Christ.

We cannot discern his body to be something that is against what Holy Spirit tells us it is and OR DOES!

There are many in religion that partake on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis. Their partaking does not make them part of our Lords body because they are spiritually joined as a harlot to another mans laws as they give their loyalty and " spiritual ears and eyes" focused on THEM and not on Christ for salvation.
This is why the call to " Get out of her" is given. Revelation 18:4

We have ONE leader and mediator and he does not dwell in organized religion. So if you seeking to find Christ through a church in the form of a local building....your searching in the wrong direction.

He is a spirit and those worshipping him MUST worship in spirit with Truth, and it is Christ that is the ONLY truth. Everything points to Him!!!

May those please with ears that wish to hear when the Spirit which is Christ and his bride say, "COME, take lifeswater which is Holy Spirit for FREE!"

Enjoy your day,
Your sister and fellow slave of our Lord Jaheshua MischaJah , Kim

Good Morning, Shel:

I take no offense whatsoever with anything you wrote—at all. What you wrote above in your response to my post is “on point.” One thing you wrote I quote here:

Quote:
“A LOT of folks "partake" of the bread and wine; however, that does not make them part of "we" (and I KNOW there are those who would take exception to this but I MUST state what is TRUE).”

But just so you know and so “others” know too, when I say or write “we” or “us,” I mean that in reference to those of uswho do in reality belong to the Christ. I mean it in the same way that the apostle John meant it when he wrote such things as:

1 John 1:

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

2 John:

4 I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5 And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

May you have Peace as our Lord the Amen gives it.

--Armand

Smile...

I know what "you" meant, my dear brother (the greatest of love and peace to you!), but for the sake of some "who" might not know... or "who" might even fall into the not-so-much-"we" category, I felt I had to clarify. Thank YOU, though, for clarifying (for those "who" might not have known - LOL!). Sometimes it is very important that "we" do. The "religious leaders" very often do NOT... which is why SO many ARE confused: "they" have been misled, having been falsely included... or excluded.

Thank "you", again, and peace to "you," dear brother!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel, who went a little quotation mark "happy" here, yes... LOLOLOL!
