So Greece has a similar case with that on the US media:
A 37 years oldmother who gave birth at home ((July 12)) locked the newborn into the cupboard to suffocate and then when the corpse started smelling she put it into a bag and threw it into the garbage. Her husband didn't know anything about her pregnancy.

How insane is this world becoming. How could she do this to her own child?

When someone believes that all suport ("support network") will be lost if an act is revealed, anything is possible. Sadly, most of the "anything" will be negative; lies, deceit, even murder. Perhaps the husband threatened separation if she got pregnant, perhaps the child was not his; perhaps the mother felt that they just couldn't support the baby or perhaps she didn't feel healthy enough to raise it. Even if the news gives her "reason" it might not be accurate; people's minds come up with what seems rational to others but that doesn't mean it's "the whole truth." Fear is a powerful emotion. When fear gets inside a person it can cause one to do "unthinkable" things.

I'm leaving out consideration of drugged states, physical, mental, and emotional illnesses, coercion, etc. and focusing on fear. That's because the saddest part of fear is that it prevents the sufferer from trusting enough to receive relief. Within the JW community fear is often the beginning of lies, a double life, abuse, and more.

All I know to do to help frightened people is to pray...and try not to be shocked when a terrible situation is revealed.

Any suggestions on how else to help?
