If you ever visit Greece avoid at any cost Mikel coffee shops.

The bastards force the employes to sign a contract stating that neither they nor their close relatives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can work in another similar shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they break the contract they are fined with 10000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and are fired. A woman employe who protested was immediately fired!

[Seems they are even smarter than Watchtower!]

Yes this is the well know Greek coffee company that the a** licking newspapers and other media in Greece laud and present as an example to find imitators to exit the economic crisis... F***ing parrots!

Many employers here have similar policies, dear ANOMOS (mornin' and peace to you, dear one!). It's to discourage nepotism. I am not sure the "penalties" are as severe (I don't believe fines can be levied) but it CAN sometimes result in termination. Usually, it's merely a transfer to another department, if such is possible. But almost in EVERY employment situation familial relationships MUST be disclosed (at application AND once employed). And, excluding small/family owned businesses, one family member, etc., can almost never supervise another.

Again, I don't think there are fines involved here, but I certainly understand why it is discouraged. I mean, how can one remain objective if they're supervising their own kin? I would be total suspicious of any merits/commendations/promotions given to a co-worker by his/her family supervisor... and any discipline/reproof/demotions/terminations given to non-familial workers. It would take an exceptionally honorable and honest person to be able to do it from a totally objective POV.

Ennywho... I have shared that I don't think like many... most... folks, so...

But thank YOU for sharing this article!

Peace to you!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

Such companies should be shut down immediately and forever.

Let's hope when the left party takes over in Greece they will deal with them appropriately.
