Aw, c'mon, dear ANOMOS (peace!). You've thrown in a distractor. Students are always protesting "something," luv. It's what they do. Everywhere. Every country. Every neighborhood of every country (well, okay, the rich send their young people away to do it, there, but I promise you, if they COULD do it and get away with in, say, Malibu... they would. Young people can ALWAYS find something to "protest" - LOLOL!).

Hence, it's always students who (look like they're) leading the protesting. Why? Because there are all manner of yahoos out there who know exactly what to say/how to get young people all in a tizzy. That's what terrorists... and military forces the world over... do. People of this age all want to change the world. And it's not that they don't - it really IS young people who change the world. With their movements, their music, their fashion, their trends...

Unfortunately, those young people... in thinking that they're SAVING lives... often become part of the machine that ends some.

And then... they graduate... grow up, get steady jobs/start careers, get married, have kids, buy houses... and drive gas guzzlers to shop at the big box stores and McDonald's... like the rest of us

Sorry but can't get all het up about yet another student "protest," dear ANOMOS. 'Cause by the time I get the energy to even find out what it's about, it's over... and another one has sprung up in its place somewhere else in the world.

We should occupy everything! It belongs to us.

Funny, that's what a whole lot of non-religious Jews think about Israel. They don't believe in God... but do believe God gave them the land of Palestine. How that WORKS, exactly, though... well...

Hmmmm... I'm trying to think what actually belongs to me. Nothing I can think of... 'cept maybe my debt. One's debt ALWAYS seems to belong to one, yes? I mean, if they WANTED to, over here the IRS could even take the clothes off my back if they thought I actually owed them something.

Let's see: my breath belongs to JAH (Ecclesiastes 12:7)... my life to Christ (John 15:16; 17:6; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23; Revelation 5:9... "my" children to JAH and Christ (1 Samuel 1:28)... my house... no, bank still owns that...

So, no, I can't think of anythi... oh, wait! My puppies. I feed and care for THEM... so maybe THEY belong to me. Then, again, maybe not. 'Cause I'm not sure THEY always think so. At least, not when we're out walking and I want to go in one direction and they want to go in another. Then, I am SURE they think they own themselves...

So, no, nothing belongs to me. Except, again, my debt(s). And, okay, maybe my (very) old car... that I have to pay the state every year so's I can drive it on their roads. And what a car without roads to drive on? So, okay, I SORTA own my car...

But it's a nice thought, dear one... to think that something COULD belong to "us". Not very realistic... but very nice, yes! LOLOL!

Shellamar, who understands why Christ said not to store up treasures HERE... 'cause for all the storing up, not only can you not take it with you... you most probably don't REALLY own any of it, ANYWAY... LOLOL!

Debt? You don't own anything to anyone. When you understand this you will be set free.

Au contare, dear one (peace to you!). If I want to live in my house (and I do)... I owe a debt. Or drive a car on which I'm making payments. Or have/use anything else on which I'm making payments. At least, that's what the contract (that was entered into) says. Did I HAVE to enter into a contract? Nooo... But if/since I DID, well, then...

There IS one debt I owe, though, that DOES set me free... and I mean TRULY free... and that is the one to Christ. He bought me... literally repurchased me... from Death. And so, my life doesn't belong to me, but to him. HE, however, out of HIS love for ME... has set me free by MEANS of that purchase:

"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

"I am... the truth ." John 14:6

"THIS means everlasting life, their KNOWING you, the TRUE God... AND the One whom you sent forth." John 17:3

"So if the SON sets you free, you will BE free indeed." John 8:36


As with the situation with peace ("I leave you peace; I give you MY peace. I do not give it to you the way that the world gives it." - John 14:27)... so, too, for ME... the situation with freedom: I'll take his peace... over the world's form of it... ANY day.
