Peace, dear ANOMOS, and thanks for sharing this, although, I'm personally not sure I get why destroying stuff is the answer to unemployment... unless those who foment it are thinking, "Well, hey, SOMEONE'S gotta clean up this mess/rebuild... and THAT means... JOBS!" I guess THAT makes sense... in a barbaric kind of way. Smacks a little of the kind of mentality shown by the indigenous people in "Braveheart," though. Sort of a... well, medieval, way to handle things, IMHO.
Can someone tell me... and not that I agree as to either, but just trying to understand the THINKING: why is it okay, again, to destroy property and cause harm to others in an (un)employment "We're TIRED of poverty, government oppression, and police brutality, and we ain't gonna TAKE it anymore!" related situation... but not in, say, a Rodney King "We're tired of poverty, government oppression, and police brutality, and we ain't gonna TAKE it anymore" related situation?
Can someone help me see what exactly the difference is? And please, keep in mind: both have been occurring among mankind for some time; however, the unemployment/Wall Street/Occupy/Vendetta stuff is fairly recent; the Rodney King police brutality thing's been going on at LEAST as long as I've been on this planet... and actually back to my grandfather's generation.
Not pulling out the race card. Just using that as a time comparison.
Anyone? Dear ANOMOS?
Peace!
