Peace to you!

"For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect - if that were possible." Matt 24:24

"And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do no behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth." Revelation 13:13,14

I know that on other threads, we have discussed some of the signs that the 'beast' uses to mislead (such as the fire coming down from heaven... being the preaching about armageddon, and the fear and amazement that causes in people).

For me, the wts (claiming to) predict world war one in 1914 was one such 'sign' that helped to mislead me. I came from a background and belief in hell, so quite honestly, the wts version of armageddon - to me - was nothing. Although... hmm... at this very moment while writing this my Lord has told me that this wts teaching of Armageddon was still a sign that allowed me to be misled into believing the wts had the truth... not in fear of fire from heaven, but in relief (in comparison to burning in hell). I had not thought of it that way before!

Wow... there is that 'leap of faith'. Do as the Spirit directs us, and He does catch us (in this instance, I followed what He directed me to do, in sharing about the 1914 sign for me... thinking also that it might benefit someone... and He revealed to me how Armageddon HAD been a sign for me as well, albeit in a different manner than what I had been thinking.

Well. That seems to be all I am able to write on the matter at this time. I guess that was the point!

Peace and love to all of you,
Your servant and a slave of Christ,
tammy

And it was a WONDERFUL point, dear tec (peace to you, luv!). That:

1. "Often times the search proves more profitable than the goal," and... if one goes to HIM:

2. HE will "finish" your training!

Cannot tell you how refreshing it is for me, during these days (which I will implicitly explain on another thread), to see these truths manifested!

As always, peace to you, dear one!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

hi tammy, did you read my new thread, yet? Funny you should post this AFTER I posted about a blog I've come upon. It's very much in relation to your topic here.

Have a gandy please.

I started to read it, and didn't quite finish yet, sKally... but I had the same thought as you, that this post and the one you posted were 'related'.**

Shelby, yes, that was a wonderful truth. Truly. I have said this before... but I will say it again... I LOVE how our Lord 'opens' my eyes and ears (and mind) to a different way of looking at things, other than how my eyes and ears have been trained by this world.

Peace to you both!

**edited to add: 'related' in terms of things that mislead people into believing the wts.

'opens' my eyes and ears (and mind) to a different way of looking at things

I'm sure you remember me posting, from time to time, that I don't think "like" most folks, luv (peace to you!), yes? That's entirely because of our dear Lord's training! Many folks say, "No one can know God's mind!"... and this is TRUE. BUT... we CAN not only KNOW... but HAVE... the mind of Christ, yes? I do love how Paul (?) stated it:

"We, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

"The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,

Who has known the mind of JAHVEH
so as to instruct him
?”

But we have the mind of Christ."
1 Corinthians 2:6-16

Some mistake this "Spirit" as someone other than Christ. As Paul wrote:

"Now, the Lord IS the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:16

But even more... they are Spirit-TAUGHT words. And WHO is our Teacher... other than Christ himself?

And who ELSE would our dear Lord teach us to think LIKE... except HIMSELF? There is none. Because HE thinks JUST as the Father has taught HIM.

I am SO glad that you are learning how to think "differently," my dear sister! And... isn't it LIBERATING? SO much lighter than the "weighty" thinking of man... which thinking sends us round and round... in circles... back to where we started but with no different understanding and no better off! Like his load, however, our dear Lord's thinking leads to FREEDOM... because it results in KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING... and LOVE... all of which undermine FEAR.

I rejoice with you, dear, dear tec, girl! Please... do NOT give up asking, seeking, knocking - you have no idea, yet, just what all can and will be opened to YOU!

Peace to you!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

Yes, I remember you posting that... and I remember seeing that about you. I used to think that it was just something unique to you... and so cool, because that also helped me try to think 'outside of the box'... but I know now that it comes from Christ's training and teaching us.

Peace to you,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,

YES, it is liberating, and exciting!

I know you do, and thank you!

Please... do NOT give up asking, seeking, knocking -

May it never EVER be so! I have stumbled a couple times (not meaning lost faith... just meaning not understood something correctly)... but what else is there to do except to get back up and continue following, and listening?

Because what else would I do I was not following Him? I mean, I could do other things of course. But my joy and my purpose is in Him! HE is the Life and the Truth.

As Peter said, "Lord to whom else would we go? YOU have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God."

Peace again to you!

Your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy
