First, NO need to apologize, dear Skalls (peace to you!); I did not take offense at anything you stated. I did and DO, however, hear and see your... frustration. Always have. Not sure why you are still "fighting," though, as that doesn't seem to be very productive (for anyone!).
I also understand how, given the apparent futility of so much, it might be comforting, yes, to reconcile oneself to not knowing. It's just... well, EASIER... than trying to figure things out. I TOTALLY get that. As I stated, though, one does not have to figure ANYTHING out... but only ask. Which I have found to be even EASIER... than giving up on trying to figure things out.
A child can rack his/her brain and rack his/her brain... and try to figure out, say, how a house is built. Or, that child can simply ask his parent... who just happens to be a housebuilder (or the apprentice of a housebuilder).
See? Wink!

Please accept my apologies in this engagement.
No apology necessary, dear one. Not with me. Again, I GET your frustration... and my heart breaks for you that you are not yet able to find a way... or better yet, THE Way... so as to overcome it.
Peace to you... sincerely... dear, dear Skally!
Your servant and a slave of Christ,
Shellamar
