May you all have peace!
On many, many occasions, Christ exhorted those who have ears to hear and get the sense of a matter. In addition, he mentioned listening to his voice. The voice is very special feature; it is actually a type of signature, much like the fingerprint or one's handwriting, or one's iris. As a mother, I can identify with this as most mothers KNOW their child's voice, even in a crowd. I am sure many fathers do, as well. My puppies each have different voices, which are SO distinct, I could put any one of them in a crowd of similar-looking dogs, yet KNOW them when they barked. Of course, I know my husband's and children's voices.
The voice does not always have to be SPOKEN to be recognized, though. Indeed, one's voice can be recognized by the WORDS used. That's because our words come from our THOUGHTS, and so not only often reveal what and how we think, but who we are. For example, most here know our dear Sher'f (peace, luv!) is obsessed with KFC (and rightly so - LOLOL!). We also know he has a "style" of "speaking" through his posts that lets us know it's him. In truth, we ALL have that, a personal style that is a kind of "voice" that identifies us.
Excluding those instances of multiple personality disorder... or an intentional effort to fool others... our "voice" will always come through to those who know us. That is one reason why some are afraid to reveal too many facts about themselves on the Internet, or choose avatars that are far removed from things in their daily lives. Because they KNOW that just ONE word... can give them up, reveal them.
What's my point? That if you TRULY don't want to be known, you can't just change your name: you must also change your VOICE. And sometimes, that means changing your WORDS. Because it WILL give you away. Resulting in the only one being fooled... is you.
Hint, hint... wink, wink... and
Peace!
A slave of Christ,
Shellamar
