And so will need to go in for repairs at some point (peace to you, all!). I do have my iphone, but it's not conducive to long (verbose) posts... which is my "style" (sorry). Hopefully, it won't be out long... but it's a good computer and I'd rather spend <$100 and just get it fixed/tuned up... and >$400 and buy a new one, just now. Would mean I'd have to work more and so have less time to spend with you dear ones, so... to the shop it is!

Just a heads up, in case I am off-board for a bit.

I just ran the Iolo system mechanic 12..On my computer..

I have errors on my system drive..
41 registry problems..
357.68 of system clutter..

With one click of the mouse,all those problems will all be repaired..(CLICK!!)..
Now I restart the computer..
Thats it!..I`m done!..AWESOME!!..LOL!!..

I keep waiting for my mac to wither and die... I get the spinning rainbow of death too often now, where everything freezes up. Often comes when I hit back a few times fast in a row, which annoys me because I often hit back to rephrase something I have said. Then I get rainbow circle, and either have to wait however long for that to stop, or restart my computer. But if I have a LOT of text, then I don't want to restart because I can't even save it (I just got the rainbow circle, lol), and will have to start again.


It is not too bad though.


I know how frustrating it can be if your computer is just out of its mind teenage temperamental (or maybe more along the lines of old age temperamental... maybe menopausal, lol)... so if a tune-up can fix the problem, then great. Especially if it can fix the problem for a quarter the cost of a new computer!

Some times a driver will go down,or you need to upgrade a driver..
Iolo finds the driver and installs it for you..
This program is like having a computer repair shop at your finger tips..
It`s all done with a click of the mouse..

You should consider it too Tammy..
It brings your computer back to life..
Like when you first took it out of the box and everything was new..

Outlaw I got SO EXCITED when you mentioned Iolo and what it does for the computer, so as I usually do I looked it up and read customer reviews, well, all I'll say is I'm so very glad it works for you. Since I'm not a techie I was afraid that it would remove some stuff and that's what quite a few folks are saying that happened to them, plus the fact it's mentioned that their customer service isn't that great and seems to be reading from a script I've had enough of that kinda service when you call CS,so I guess I'll just let my seven year old computer die a natural death !

I've just checked out this Iolo system mechanic availability in the UK Outlaw. It appears that 12 isn't available here, maybe 10 is. The reviews do vary. Some suggest it opens the way for Trojans by negating security systems?

It's all French to me lol, so any advice is really appreciated. I'm on an Ipad which is fantabulous lol, but hubby's Samsung is playing up and very slow lately.

(Just to add for anyone needing to upgrade, I went from a laptop to the Ipad 3 and seriously it's the best thing I ever did. I even used it all through Uni on my post grad degree and have all my teaching files etc on it. I bought a Logitech slimline keyboard to go with it when I was writing 1000s of words at a time for assignments. That makes it a mini laptop really. I have had no security or running problems whatsoever, it's made me an Apple fan for sure, I'd hate to go back to a normal laptop now.)

Iolo will allow you to do your own advanced repair..
Thats when people lose stuff..LOL!!..
If you just stick with the recommended procedure..I doubt you`ll lose a thing..
I never have..

Hey Loz!..

Even if you buy an Iolo 10 or 11..
Once it`s installed you`ll be upgraded to the newest version available..

I use 2 systems on my computer..
One is Iolo systems mechanic..
The other is Norton Security by symantec..
Nothing gets past Norton Security..

I`ve never heard of trojans getting by Iolo..
They could have had the iolo security turned off..
You have to make sure its all turned on..
