Pup, where is your glorious photo taken?

I mean, what part of the US? Looks great!

Very nice, interesting photo.

Was taken at Stone Mountain Georgia. Stone Mountain is also home to the world's largest bas relief.

Interesting. What does the bad relief depict, Pup?

Excuse my ignorance, my US geography is deplorable, but is it that one with all the presidents?

Mount Rushmore in North Dakota is the one with four US Presidents :) The Bas relief on Stone Mountain Georgia is larger than Mount Rushmore and contains three figures that were important to the Confederate side of the Civil War. The bas relief contains Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee. and Jefferson Davis.

Here is a photo of it. To get a sense of scale I stuck a schoolbus on the rear end of the horse.

I really like that. It's very evocative.

Water ship Down is the best known book by Richard Adams, but my favourite of his is Traveller, the story of General Lee's horse, told from the horse's point of view.

I can't think of Lee without thinking of Traveller.

DeYoung is awesome

LOLOLOL! Yes, the "De YOUNG" museum, thank you, dear Debil Dog (peace to you!). I have a friend whose last name is "De Iongh", pronounced "De Young"... and somehow I posted that. I meant to change it when I looked up the exhibit links and just forgot. Oh, for days when my brain worked "on the dime". Ah, well... at least the "lightening fingers" are still intact. Although HOW fast they now surpass the (formerly?) "four on the floor" brain is becoming worrisome...

Peace... and GREAT pics! It's always nice to see what "we" look like (although, I had you pegged for an older dude - LOLOL! Ah, the wisdom of today's "youth"!)

Shellama, on her own...

The numbers are "off" as to the Ark statistics, dear DD (peace to you!). At least, as to the number of animals, insects, and people. Regarding the animals and insects, only the phylus/genus/family... or "kind"... was taken; not every species (as the numbers imply and many believe). Species do evolve (hence, the great number of animal/insect species today); however, the phylus/family/genus doesn't.

Regarding the people, there were 8, not 7.

My take? If someone can't even count to eight... then ALL of his/her numbers should be suspect. Greatly.

Oh, and they probably COULD have gotten 50,000 animals on the Titanic. Just remove a couple/few ballrooms, grand staircases, suites, fancy staterooms, dining halls, spas, gyms, promenades, etc., and replace with stalls...

Of course, no need to worry about having too many lifeboats... in EITHER case, though - LOLOLOL!

Peace!

YSFS of Christ,

Shellama
