OH my goodness, it sounds like they landed in a place back in time 1000's of year ago. The names of those places sounds so exotic and from a fairy tale. I am so happy they are almost there and they are safe.

To those of you who may be interested (or not): Shelby and Kim, our sisters in Christ, have landed safely in Djoubuti (not sure of spelling) on the edge of the Red Sea, across the Red Sea from Yemen. Instead of landing in Addis Ababa as scheduled, they were diverted to Djoubuti because there was a major storm in Addis Ababa. They are safe and sound, but tired. Once the storm passes the airlines will fly them to Addis Ababa, and from there to Axum. Just a heads up! May Jah bless. --Armand |

I just googled where they are going, it is Ethiopia, OH MY that is different. Now I see that Axum has a church that houses the Ark of the Covenant that holds the 10 commandments. Now that is a historical and exciting thing to visit. Just Wow.  The Ethiopian Orthodox Church claims that the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Aksum houses the Biblical Ark of the Covenant in which lie the Tablets of Law upon which the Ten Commandments are inscribed.[4] The historical records and Ethiopian traditions suggest that it was from Aksum that Makeda, the Queen of Sheba, journeyed to visit King Solomon in Jerusalem. She had a son called "Menelik I" from King Solomon. He grew up in Ethiopia but traveled to Jerusalem as a young man to visit his father homeland. He lived several years in Jerusalem before returning to his country with the Ark of the Covenant. According to the Ethiopian Church and Ethiopian tradition, the Ark still exist in the town of Axum Correction, there is a chapel that houses the Ark of the Covenant and no one may go in there but the guardian monk, so you can't view it. The chapel is between the two churches.

Yes, indeed. Received a call from Kim and Shelby this morning at 3:00 am. They have now arrived safely in Addis Ababa. All is well. They will continue on to Axum in about 15 hours from now (9:19 am, California time), or thereabouts. Anyway, all is well. --Armand |

They showed the chapel with the monk and the Ark of the Covenant on BBC1 (on British TV), I think it must have been about eighteen months ago. Very, very wow, Zoe!

Just received a call this morning. Kim and Shelby are doing just fine. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! Without a glitch. They will leave Axum for home in about 16 hours from now (California time: 9:20 am). Can't wait to hear the specifics. All is well. --Armand |
