On April 12th 2014, my Dad finally went to rest, free from that wretched disease know as ALS ( Lou Gehrig's disease).

It has been bittersweet for me...
My Dad is gone ( for now) and I miss him far more than I can ever express in words BUT he is free and is suffering no longer and that makes me feel happy.
His suffering towards the end was unbearable for him.
He had lost the use of all limbs, the ability to speak and was unable to eat or drink for a few days.
He went in his sleep.

I thank you all for your support when I had spoken/written about this.

While my heart is heavy and broken, there is joy that my Dad is free and his spirit is with Our Lord.

Paul

Oh, dear, dear Paul... peace to you, your entire household... and I am SO sorry to hear this news, although I do understand your current "relief" for your dear father. May JAH keep him... so that someday soon you will behold him and he you, again. May the undeserved kindness and mercy of our dear heavenly Father, the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies, and the love and peace to His Son, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One (Christ) of JAH (MischaJah)... be upon you and your entire household, dear, dear brother.

Peace to you, TRULY, at this time and always!

YOUR servant, sister, and fellow slave of Christ,

Shel

Oh, Paul. I am sorry about your dad. May you and your loved ones find strength and peace from our Lord, as well as comfort and joy, knowing that your dad is no longer in pain and that you will see him again.

Peace and love to you Paul,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Do you "need" anything, dear brother (again, peace to you!) - you and/or any of your household? Is there anything any of us here can do for you dear folks? You only need ask.

Again, peace... as our dear Lord gives it... to you.

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

Dear Paul...

My sincere thoughts and prayers are for you and your family as well that you will find strength through this and even with the pain that you feel from the loss, that the pain your father felt is over and he can now...rest!
I do, along with everyone else here and YOU look forward to the day when the sting of death and pain and suffering are NO MORE!!!

Peace and love to you my brother,
If there is something we can do, let us know, your sister and fellow servant in Christ Kim

Thanks again for your kind words.
We don't really need anything, other than your love and prayers :)
My mom is having a hard time and so are my sisters.
I made peace with his loss long time ago and while it was and is hard, I know that he is in a far better place and no longer suffering.
He is in Our Lord's embrace.
This Saturday will be the memorial service at the kingdom hall...not really looking forward to it but it was his wish and it will be good ( I hope) for my mom and older sister.

I am so sorry for your loss Paul, I did not know that your Dad was sick. ALS is a terrible disease, at least now he is resting in peace.
