(may you all have peace!)... how many "christians" today could have heard Moses, or the Prophets, or Paul... or Christ. I wonder how many today would receive their words (to Israel), if such's words were directed to them, as part of "Israel." Would we listen, enraptured? Or would we rip our garments and toss ashes over our heads... all the while covering our ears so as not the hear what was being said to us?

I'm sure none of these men would have been popular among Israel today - LOLOL! They CERTAINLY wouldn't be popular among the religious leaders of Christendom... and PARTICULARLY not those the WTBTS! LOLOL!

The Congregator's words... that there is nothing new under the sun... are true: there really isn't.

Peace to you all!

A slave of Christ,

Shellamar, hoping... PRAYING... that ALL with ears to hear have grown tired of sleeping... and are wishing to wake up... even if that means abruptly, sometimes, so as to be ready... if they need to be... Matthew 25:1-12

To be one to bear the WORD of God is a blessing and a curse.
Very few have been able to do it.
I don't think I would be able to, or want to, to be honest.

I think the reason that so many prophets of the past had to make huge statements ( miracles for example) was because with "extraordinary claims, we need extraordinary proof".
Christ did that.
Moses, Elijah, Isaiah and others ( but not all if I recall).

The thing is that, I am not sure that we "need" that anymore.
I mean, what can top the resurrected Christ?

I agree, dear P (peace to you, dear brother!)... especially as to what COULD top our dear Lord's resurrection. I can think of nothing... except maybe the resurrection of many more... including our own loved ones... all at one time! Even still, that is still HIS feat alone to do, yes? So, no, you're right - nothing can top what he started - LOLOL!

Peace, dear one!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

People sometimes ask me why God stopped doing miracles.
Why we don't see divine intervention at all nowadays.

I say to them, that we don't know if He has BUT I ask them WHY should He?

The reality is that the bible shows us that miracles, while touching SOME, never convince ALL.

And those that they DO touch, would quite probably be touched by God regardless.

I think that God knows that there is no miracle or act ( other than the final one) that can convince those that do NOT want to see or hear.

I agree, again, dear one (peace!). And even though miracles have NOT ceased (funny, isn't it, how almost everyone you know can tell you one they themselves experienced!), my understanding is that when such DO occur it is either as you say (not believed by others) or not reported to the greater number. Often, the latter is because those who witness/experience it KNOW that it won't be believed by the greater number but, rather, they are just simply opening themselves up to great scorn, even ridicule. Sometimes they're not reported because they're not FOR anyone other than those who witnessed it, to build up THEIR faith. And so while some things must be shared outside of the immediate person/group... some things aren't always meant to be.

On another note... how ARE you and your dear family? Doing well, I hope.

Peace!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar
