So my girlfriend and I went. ....we ate and drank...and.....to my shock...a 80 year old man had an Ipad looking up scriptures during the 'memorial talk' and kingdom melodies for the finishing song on an app. Have I been out of the loop SO LONG that an 80 year old man is more tech-savy at the local kingdom hall these days?!?!?! I felt......old. ...i mean, i'm only.....3...uh.....22 |

That is cute, Voices. The speaker had an ipad that he looked up scriptures on where I went, and that was a little amusing. Other than that, Voices, I am so glad that you and your girlfriend went and partaked, in love and obedience to Christ! Praise Jah and His Son, that you were able to do so. Mornin and peace to you both this beautiful morning, Glad that you were able to go Voices and both of you partake of our Lord. What a witness given for our Lord! Yes, many were on their iPads for the scriptures and songbook. And yes this is quite amusing now coming from my generation of no technology Nada!!!! GOOD for you and dear GF, dear, dear Voices (and the greatest of love and peace to you, both!). Yeah, the formerly anti-Internet WTBTS is now the new and improved "You'd better have an iPad, etc., else how you gonna visit JW.Org?" WTBTS - LOLOLOL! Been so for about 3-4 years now. I took out my android last night to open the NWT and song book and my SIL was like, "Whatchu DOIN'?" Then I told her to look around. Folks were whippin' out androids, iPads, notebooks, iPhones, etc. There was a veritable "glow" coming from almost every other seat in the place... and this was a large community center where the folks from two KHs were "gathering." Anyway, yeah. I mean, think of it: GOT to be saving the WTBTS SOME $$$ if they don't have to print SO many pieces of literature anymore. Either that or, along with adding some "color" to their GB, someone convinced them it's time to come out of the dark (ages - they're still in the dark, though).
