Rev 1:4: John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne,

Rev 3:1: To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

Rev 4:5: From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.

Rev 5:6: Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

What are these seven spirits? In the past, Shelby, you linked these to the seven stars, but Revelation 3:1 makes these sound separate from each other.

I did a search in the NWT for "spirit of" and found these references:
spirit of the truth (John 14:17; John 15:26; John 16:13))
spirit of holiness (Rom 1:4)
spirit of adoption (Rom 8:11)
spirit of deep sleep (Rom 11:8)
spirit of wisdom (Eph 1:17)
spirit of revelation (Eph 1:17)
spirit of faith (2 Cor 4:13)
spirit of power, love, soundness of mind (2 Tim 1:7)
spirit of undeserved kindness [or grace] (Heb 10:29)
spirit of glory (1 Pet 4:14)
spirit of life (Rev 11:11)

I also found Hebrews 1:14 (NIV): Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

I can see that angels are spirits, but are the seven spirits the same as the seven stars, which are the seven angels of the seven congregations? It doesn't seem like this is so, based on Revelation 3:1.

Any further insight into this?

Not that there isn't more, but I have not heard more, differently, or since from my Lord, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH ( MischaJah ). I hope this helps, then.

No worries, luv ( peace to you! ) - I thought you had done a search and I knew it had been discussed but first thought maybe although it sounded like the same topics you were now meaning something new. So I read your comments about 6 times before I posted my comments to be (more) sure. I didn't want to post the link and you respond, "Yeah, no, that's not what I'm referring to."
