I went to a service last night for a friend that passed away, very much of the Catholic faith. She was a sweet loving person ALWAYS happy and smiling. just 50 yrs young. She passed within a couple of months from cancer. What I was told from her brother in law there were two people in the room with her when she passed, right before she passed away they both saw a bright light over her, one was her son and not sure who the other person was. Any thoughts on this? I think I would have dismissed it if one person was in the room, just not sure what to make of it.

I have heard many similar accounts from people I trust completely, and I have had experience, personally, of similar things. Not identical, but of the same kind.

When someone dies, especially someone close to us, can be a time of great spiritual enlightenment alongside the grief. I've had personal experience of this fact three times in my life..

I don't talk about it.
