Something I read over and over again....A verse that is read EVERY single year on the memorial at the Kingdom halls.

John 10 :16 "And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold, those also I must bring, and they will listen to "MY VOICE", and they will become ONE flock (or fold) under one shepherd."

We were taught that is the separation of the 144,000 and the great crowd.
The 144,000 with a heavenly/spiritual hope and the great crowd with a earthly/physical hope.

We were also taught that it is only the 1444,000 that have the direct link to Jah dispensing "food at the proper time" because they truly have holy spirit dwelling in them by being the only ones annointed.

Funny thing they fail to continually overlook and my boys see it and said "Mom, a moron could understand what this is saying." (sorry for the verbal)
....The great crowd DO come into and become part of this flock/fold by "HEARING" our masters voice themselves, becoming ONE So...the 144,000 are not the only priviledged ones to hear our lords voice therefore, being able to receive holy spirit and also having it be able to guide/direct/ and speak to them. You know what that also means??? The organization does not have to have a "hold" on them keeping them hostage as to where and who their salvation comes through.

I'm sure most of us already have realized this but WOW! The CONTROL CONTROL GUILT that continues to be used on these poor little sheep.

Yeah, that shutting up the kingdom that they do is pretty blatant. Just as bad, is that some won't even consider listening to or even looking to/for Christ, because their faith was in the org instead, and when that was proved false... well, they determined Christ and God are false too. And (this is very un-pc of me)... but they don't even see that they have allowed the WTS to do this to them.

Greetings, dear 'Mom and peace to you (and boys!). Funny thing, yes. Just as "funny" as them overlooking the words "anyone" and "unless" and "resurrected" and "live forever" at John 6:48-58:

"I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

"The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So [Jesus] said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. I mean, in light of their teaching (and book by the same title) that the "great crowd" can/will "live forever." How? HOW are they going to do that... be resurrected, live forever, etc., "Unless they eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood"? Since they have NO life in themselves... and the WTBTS teaches that they should NOT eat and drink... just HOW are they going to be resurrected to LIFE... without it being done BY the Life, Christ?

Funny, indeed. Hilarious, even.

Of course, there are many more verses than what you and I have shared here. Maybe we should do a "144,000 vs. Great Crowd - What Really Is the Difference?" thread. Just a thought...

I'm sorry, but I am not sure what you mean... 'what is pc?'

I do think some don't believe in God (or refuse to come to Him) because of the wts. I think the wts paints a picture of God... but instead of realizing that it is this image/picture that is false, some still believe the image is an accurate rendition of something false. As long as they believe that false image is accurate, how can they look to the one who IS the image of God: Christ.

As to the last part, Christ says that anyone who wishes to, anyone who seeks or his hungry or is thirsty... they may come to Him and take life's water free.

un-pc = bad grammar, lol. Not politically correct.

And I think that some never thought there WAS a real God or Christ to look for, beyond the wts image. Because so many still argue against the wts image of God (when trying to prove that there is no God, or that belief in him is foolish), and ignore that there is any other way to look at God (including looking only at Christ, his actual Image)

I don't think so... it is just not something people like to hear.

If someone was looking at the wts as the image of God, then I cannot see how they knew Him, because that is a false image. Other than that though, I cannot say whether someone really believed in God or Christ though. That is between them and God.

I think some never tried to know Him away from the wts, and some did try to know him away from the wts. When I spoke above, i was speaking of those who did not... because the wts image had 'blinded' them to anything else.

They don't think or investigate? Jump to conclusions?

I'm sure that most (of not all) do this... but i think for some that investigation is colored by the wts image of God. In that way, the wts has shut up the kingdom of heaven for some/many.

Watchtower opene kingdom to my family. My country dont like religion when watchtower show us bible so we leave but know God. Then we were free to learn more about God and find Christ. Only watchtower showed us until we move but is in our heats. If is in the heart Lord will guide. This is why i say maybe Christ does not call their heart because kingdom cant be shut if heart is called.

Ah, I think I understand what you are saying.

I do not think the kingdom can be shut (at least not yet, everyone is still free to come to Him). But I do think that people can shut their hearts TO the kingdom and to God and Christ. Sometimes they can shut their hearts because their hearts have been hurt (such as if the wts hurt them, then they are too afraid to trust or open their hearts again) So fear of being hurt or fooled or deceived or led wrong... can cause people to shut their hearts, so that they do not hear a call... or so that they deny even to themselves that they might actually still hear a call.

If all the wts ever did was to tell people about God and His Son, and point toward Christ as the one to whom people should turn, saying that Christ is the Truth and the Life; well, then... they might be helping people go to and find Him.

"He who is not against you is for you."

I am glad that your heart hears the call of the Lord.

I think is not how you say. I think they investigate more than you say. I dont know why they dont believe but i dont think they are mad. I let the Lord figure it out cuz i cant see in the heart. I do not know them and they do not know me. I have many family that do not know Lord but is not cuz of watchtower and not cuz they dont think. Only Lord knows and is not my job. Am tired now and is harder to write good. Will write better tomorrow.

I think it is not how I say for all, but only for some people. I think that just because there are some who never looked beyond what the wts has to say about God, or the image that they give of him.

However, that is not to say that they might not one day hear or look for Christ once again. As you are right to say, I cannot read the heart of others. I am only going by what I have seen some people say for themselves.

I'll talk with you more tomorrow.
