I am interested in compiling a complete list of all the ways the organization either:

A: Puts itself in a Jesus position.

B: Marginalizes Jesus to the average witness.

I will start:

1.They teach that Jesus is the mediator only for the 144,000 and not for the rest of mankind.

2. They are constantly speaking about God's kingdom. (Shouldn't that be Jesus' Kingdom since he is the king and has been given all authority in heaven and on earth?)

3. They compare the WTBS to the Ark for salvation. Jesus himself is God's provision for salvation NOT an organization.

Please add any you can think of (references / scriptures would be great as well!) When it is all done I will write up an article on everything and post the PDF for anyone interested.

They claim that Jesus didn't become the Messiah until baptism.

They claim that Jesus had to be born again, like the 144,000 "anointed."

They claim that the key to salvation is how one treats the "anointed."

They claim that Jesus put the WTS over his work on earth.

On an individual level (elders), not necessarily from the Society, individual elders will tell you to "Stop talking about Jesus." Start talking about how Jesus said this (because he did) or Jesus did that (because he did) and after a little while members of the congregation, especially the elders, will tell you to stop talking so much about him.

Some most reprehensible things (peace to you all!):

They call themselves "the truth"... in spite of the FACT that Christ is ONLY Truth (John 14:6)

They seat themselves "in the seat of Moses"... when only Christ has that right (Matthew 23:2, 3)

They say folks must come to and through them to learn about God... when Christ said HE is the Door/Way and NO ONE comes to the Father except through him (John 14:6)

They "have sayings of everlasting life"... which Christ is the ONLY Way to everlasting life (John 6:68)

They teach that some of their members will be resurrected and live forever WITHOUT eating and drinking the flesh and blood of Christ... because they "have life within themselves"... while CHRIST is recorded to have said that UNLESS one eats and drinks his flesh and blood they have NO life within themselves, that if they did so eat they would live forever because HE would resurrect them (John 6:51-58)

They replaced my Lord, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH, with "Jehovah"... who doesn't even exist... as the [Holy] Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17)

They say that they are teachers (and even have a "school"!) of God's law/will... when Christ said HE alone is that teacher (Matthew 23:8)... and that he would send the Father's holy spirit and IT would recall to our minds WHAT he teaches us (John 14:26; 1 John 2:26-29)... which it does by means of allowing him to be IN us (John 14:23; Romans 8:9, 10)... so as to write God's law on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:31-34)

They have leaders, when Christ said we are to have no leaders but him (Matthew 23:10)

They deny MOST of the members of Christ's Body... their union with Christ... their place in the New Covenant... and their rulership with him... by denying that the "great crowd" are ALSO kings... and priests... who were ALSO purchased "out of EVERY nation, tribe, tongue, and peoples" with HIS blood (Revelation 5:9, 10; 7:9, 10, 14, 15)

And... and... and...

I mean, there just isn't enough time... or board space... but I hope this helps!

Jesus said that by only his name can people be saved
JWs use the name of the Father and ignore his gift of the son.

Jesus replaced the Mosiac law which had shown man is incapable of earning his own salvation, therefore we can acknowledge our salvation 100% to Jesus sacrifice.
JWs teach by implication that we earn our own salvation by our works, if we pioneered for instance and always answered at meetings and get saved, how are we not going to consider that we earned it?, thereby detracting from the sacrifice of Jesus?

Better to be a miserable sinner who knows he deserves nothing, then when Jesus saves you your salvation turns into 100% gratitude and Love for Jesus and our Father.

Probably the worse in my view is that they say that there is only salvation in the JW organization, which is a huge affront to Christ and in violation of the direct teachings in the bible that ONLY Christ is the way to salvation and only in HIS NAME are we saved.
Funny thing is that, for all their critique of "christendom" they are doing the one thing that the RCC was accused of and that was saying that there is ONLY salvation through the Church( theirs).
