NAMBO SAID

I did meet up with an ex Sister a while back who had some interesting views based on the fact Ezekiel prophesied a third Temple to be built in Jerusalem and that is not the same as the New Jerusalem of Revelation.

It got me thinking and trying to see how it fits in with Revelation I have so far come to the following possibilities but would Love to have further ideas to incorporate in order to arrive at truth.

Firstly Chapter 39 mentions what the JWs would think of as Armageddon with the destruction of Gog :- 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord.

‘Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls—all of them

Nations are still mentioned however and the gathering of Gods people from the nations:- 21 “I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay on them. 22 From that day forward the people of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God. 23 And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin,

I will be proved holy through them in the sight of many nations

Now on this point of there still being Nations, I wonder if the JW notion that all except JWs get destroyed, and therefore that the so called "Second Test" when all the nations are lead by Satan when he is released after the 1000 years, isnt in fact referring to JWs that fail the test, but that there are still nations surrounding a Christian Israel throughout the 1000 years, and that it is these Satan gathers together to wage war on the Holy City.

I therefore think that the scriptures that talk about the Dogs and Idolaters weeping and gnashing their teeth because they cannot get in, is literal, living people who want to be in Israel but not being found worthy, but not destroyed.

Two things with this, it allows unGodly mankind the chance to see how he fares with Satan bound for 1000 years, so far we have always had Satan spoiling mans efforts to get by without God, could be an unsettled issue.

Could also mean that no, God doesnt kill all the babies at Armegedden just because they are not in the "truth". Or that there are two Armegeddens because there will be destruction of all the Nations at the end of the 1000 years.

It also gives unGodly man the chance to see how they fare compared to those of us that have Jesus as king, just like with the first Israelites who where a beacon of God amongst the Nations.

Now, back to the temple, Chapter 47 is all about what surely must be the river of life :- 12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing. ”

So, as the measurements of this Temple do not match any built so far, neither the measurements of the New Jerusalem, is this then a Temple that will be inhabited by Christians during Jesus 1000 year presence, surrounded by ordinary folk in ordinary Nations for to whom to them will apply the Prophesy of Isaiah 65 where they will live better lives than under Satans present system, but will still die at 100 years old, (unlike the Christian inhabitants of Jerusalem who get to drink from the river of life), then depending on wither they where good or bad they get the resurrection to Life or Judgement at the end of the 1000 years?

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. (See, they both die at 100).

Revelation 20 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. (The second general resurrection doesnt take place at the beginning of Jesus reign, but at the end, death being the last enemy to be subdued by Christ, not the first.

Why would the vision be about a third temple when the 2nd one wasn't even built yet?
What wouldn't the vision be about the 2nd temple?

Doesnt God often use a Prophesy to give a greater and more important end-time prophesy?

You could equally ask why Daniel gives a prophesy concerning salvation of Gods people at the end of the days, when they hadnt even been released from captivity to Babylon at that stage.

Yes, sometimes God does indeed give a prophecy withing a prophecy and He also said, through His son:
It is NOT for you to know the time of these things.

Its fine to discuss these things to a point, but humility must always be in the forefront since we do NOT know what God's mine is.
We can accept that the End will come, WHEN God chooses.
We can also accept that sometimes a "cigar is just a cigar".

There is no need to read "end of days" and "pre/post tribulation" and "rapture" into every prophecy.

That's what got the JW's in trouble over and over again.

We should focus on what Christ told Us to do:

6 So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, (M)is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which (N)the Father has fixed by His own authority; 8 but you will receive power (O)when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be (P)My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and (Q)Samaria, and even to (R)the remotest part of the earth.”

Lets us be witness to CHRIST and to be aware that the End will come, yes, but that NO MAN can predict or know WHEN that end will come.
