It would appear the suffering Paul experienced permeated society long after he died. His closing the church to the influence of half the population was an act of widespread destruction and the cause of mass suffering. We have been picking up the pieces for a long time now and only recently have we made large positive strides. Does Christ get the credit and the blame for the actions of his chosen instrument? I believe Paul was instructed by the Spirit, but I do not subscribe to his personal revelation nor all of his ideas. His words were powerful because they were shaped by his experience which the Spirit led him through. His revelation is likely a fabrication (as is most of Acts) designed for the sole purpose of enforcing his words on others rather than allowing the population freedom of choice. I'd like to hope that Paul was not a totalitarian.

What is the truth about women? Do they have a right to equality? If the truth is that they do, than anyone who stood against Paul and his ideas would be standing with Christ, or the truth. How does one stand for truth, but against the instrument of truth?

What is the truth? REALLY?

Your version of subordinationism is stale and unimaginative and your utter refusal to give the proper credit to the Spirit is atrocious and worthy of condemnation. You are the Governing Body minus the power and money.

You rebuke Shelby for not taking credit for herself... and rebuke Shelby for not giving credit to the Spirit.

Though, in truth, Shelby gives credit to the Holy Spirit (who is Christ) at ALL times, for anything that she receives and shares.


You may be fooling yourself and those who would agree to anything, if it means teaming up to going against the faith in the Spirit of Christ, that many here profess. But you are not being honest.

And as to who sounds like the GB/WTS... you might want to look to all that judgment and condemnation you are bandying about. Before you say that it is to help Shelby see the truth... you would have to know the Truth, first... who is Christ.
