Reading these posts I'm reminded of Jah's love for even a sparrow, Matthew 6?

I realize that perhaps, for some (peace to you all!), animals having spirits/praising JAH, etc., doesn't seem possible... scientifically. Again, I would exhort all to consider that science and the spiritual are NOT in conflict, but that science really DOESN'T know as much as some think it does, yet. People will often say that science "doesn't say it knows" or something to that effect. But is not saying something is NOT "so"... UNTIL it is proven "scientifically"... tantamount to saying "science SAYS"... and so "science KNOWS"?

Not sure if I'm being clear. What I'm TRYING to say is that just because science has not YET proven something doesn't mean that something ISN'T (or is). Some of us are learning some things now that science COULDN'T prove long, long ago... yet, was TRUE. Always. True then, long before we HAD "science"... and true now.

The thing is, science MAY have had some of the information/knowledge it has NOW... many MILLENIA ago... but, due to folks wanting to lean upon their OWN understanding... and NOT trust in JAH and/or the voice of His Word... are only JUST know coming to know. What, though, COULD we have known... and how much SOONER... if we had just stuck to listening to HIM?

Makes one wonder: is science TRULY a help... or a hindrance? And please take a moment and THINK about what I mean by this... rather than take offense and/or get all hot under the collar.

Peace!

A slave of Christ,

Shellama

And even plants, dear Loz (peace!). Recall, the lilies of the field... and how even Solomon wasn't arrayed as JAH arrays these!

Would that we, mankind... and particularly those who profess a union with Christ... could stop trying to "see" God as WE wish Him to be/appear... and just see Him AS HE IS (which we can ONLY do by looking at/to His Son!). Wouldn't THAT be TRULY showing Him love?

Because, all things we want (men) to do to US, we're supposed to do to them, yes? And don't WE all wish to be accepted AS we are... and not as others (our parents/children) wish us to be?

Would not the "golden rule" apply in our relationship with the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies, and His Son, the HOLY ONE of Israel, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah), then? Shouldn't it?

Peace!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellama

Silly ;P there is nothing in the realms of science that says animals do not praise god or have a soul ;P

Then plants, insects, and animals that have been destroyed by volcano or intense fires do not get resurrected yes?

Or the animals that we eat whose bones are processed?

Perhaps being vegetarian or even vegan should be in order ;)

Don't think it hasn't crossed MY mind... and heart... dear, dear Pup (peace to you!). Sadly, I am guilty of a grave sin: I lust after meat candy (bacon). I've tried to conquer it: avoid the cold case and delicatessen areas of the supermarket. I tell myself I don't need the extra salt (or nitrates) to try and get myself to cut back. I even tried to wean myself by buying uncured and turkey bacon. All to no avail. I see bacon on everything: eggs, cabbage, brussells sprouts, broccoli salad, regular salad, BLTs, croissants... ice cream... jelly beans...

I have bacon DTs sometimes if I go longer than, say 2-3 days, and experience "withdrawal" when I've gone longer than a week. Once, I even dreamed that Oscar Meyer and John Morrell were involved in a murder-suicide, with both businesses going to their children... all of whom were vegans and changed the family product to toe-furkey "bacon"!!! I woke up gasping for air, shaking, and sweating profusely (wait... that might'a been the menopause...). Whatever, it was a NIGHTMARE!

Sometimes, I have to get my "fix" from the corner store, where I can buy one or two strips at a time, rather than an entire package... cause my money's short. When that happens, I fry it and then crumble it up, so's I can make it last (I eat a teenchie piece at a time, just to "maintain", until my next check).

I used to save the grease to shoot up... ummmm... saute almost everything in... but I have trained myself to just dump it now (and THAT was hard... but I DID it! I've been bacon-grease free for about 8 months now!).

So, I've tried to quit, dear one, Lord knows I've tried. BUT... I am coming clean: I'm a slave to bacon, through and through... to my utter shame. Please... don't judge me.

Piece (preferably maple-cured with the rind on)...

My name is Shellama... and I'm a baconholic... (and wonderin', after THIS post, where the heck is dear Voices...)

What was it about my short post that made you think I was baiting her?

Your words... but most particularly the fact that it was only HER "sight" you were interested in, dear one (peace to you!). Many commented but it was only dear Loz, with whom you have done similar in the past, that you asked. You wish to know what dear LOZ "sees". Why, given you two's history? Why not just ask in general... and leave it to her to respond if she WISHES to? But by addressing her specifically, you are showing that you DO have a questionable motive. Really. I am not making this up or just trying to "pick" on you - I am trying to help you see how YOU are continuing to try and "provoke" another. WHY??

What would have been my motive?

That is what I am asking YOU to consider, my dear sister. Hopefully, you WILL consider it. Again, please, dear, dear Char... please... examine your heart. Because, again, things are not as hidden as you might think they are.

Again, peace to you!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellama

In this instance, at least, Shelby, you are not correct. I hadn't read the whole thread. I have been away for a few days without much Internet access at all. I hadn't read everything. Didn't really even look at anything, I just noticed that post, and it meant no more than it said. No hidden meanings.

You know something? I was brought up always to give the other person the benefit of the doubt, to think well of the other person, always to assume the best.

I don't think a little of that would hurt you, in this case. You seem bent on imputing bad motives to me. I don't know why. I have said I have no bad motives towards Loz, or anyone else, and that is the truth.

What is it about me that you object to so much, Shelby? Because I disagree with you sometimes? Because I question you?

Because I'm Catholic?

I have no grudge against you, bear you no ill will, nor towards Loz, nor towards anyone.

Look into your own heart, perhaps. Could your problem be lying there?

LOL... at Shelby's bacon post. I have also thought about going vegetarian... even though I am far from a vegetable fan.

I do notice that after a bit without meat... I tend to get 'shaky', physically (as in weak, not necessarily as in craving the taste of meat... that would just be a given, lol). I wonder if that is temporary, like drug withdrawal... Char has gone veggie, maybe she can supply that answer.

Of course, I find that if I just munch and munch on snack food, I eventually get shaky from that too, until I eat a hot meal.

Peace,
tammy

I'm sorry I can't do the veggie thing. Bacon sarnies, roast beef with Yorkshire puds, crispy lamb chops, belly pork and apple sauce, grilled sirloin steak?

No, sorry. I tried, (see above), but no can do.

You all crack me up!!!!!! g:) g:)

I have gone back and forth as a vegetarian. Both for health/ hormone reasons and just plain feeling awful!!! I wish I could be satisfied completely without it. But it is another thing and boy oh boy there is a LOT....that I need to be forgiven for. Although I do realize it is permitted of course, I still do realize what it is in truth.

And yes, how is Char doing with the vegetarian diet? Reminded me of when she said she became one after watching " Life of Pi." Understanding what it is in eating other flesh with spirit in it is not new to many cultures. Remember in the movie how he felt and apologized for it before he began eating.
I also remember something to the same effect in the movie, " Avatar."

Justmom /:)
