I don't think dear Armand (peace, luv!) meant the question to you, specifically, dear Voice (peace to you, as well!), but was adding to YOUR comments about that authority. I mean, I think that's what he meant. Unfortunately, written words can OFTEN be misconstrued, as we all know just from the many interpretations of the words in the Bible. Tone, inflection, emphasis, punctuation... all have some bearing... and if one doesn't KNOW the one "speaking"... then one can misunderstand what is being said BY that the one. In contrast, when one DOES know the one speaking, one will "read" that one's (own) VOICE... including tone, inflection, emphasis, etc., INTO what they are reading.
That's one of the reasons that punctuation, etc. was developed: to try and lend MORE understanding to what is written/said in writing. So when dear Armand stated "And not only that..." meaning, not ONLY what you stated (about "ALL authority")... he is ADDING TO what you posted. He added a question, yes, but it seems rhetorical. Because of his later comment, "I'm just asking."
So, I don't think he believes YOU believe in the whole 1914 melarkey... but perhaps was putting the question out there for any who need a QUESTION that they might use to help those who DO still believe in it "see". Like maybe when they come to your door, etc. For example, one could ask them:
"You believe Christ began his reign in 1914? But does he not say, at Matthew 28, that "ALL authority" had been GIVEN him? Meaning, at THAT time? If that's TRUE... and since Christ said it, surely you believe it IS true... then how can he have been given MORE authority... in 1914? What additional authority was there to GIVE him?"
See? LOLOLOL!
Peace, luv... and let us know how it goes when you DO ask a JW that question! LOLOLOL!
YSSFS of Christ,
Shellamar
