Welcome to the Neighbourhood!. That fire is unbelievably close to where I live. So close, I was ORDERED evacuated. ![]() WildFires are not nearly as much fun as they look. Lots of smoke makes it hard to breath, fire consumes anything in it`s path. You could lose every thing you own in a heartbeat. And... If you`re dumb enough to ignore an evacuation order, you`re probably going to die. Which was not at the top of my list of "Things to do this week". This is where I sometimes stop for gas. I may have to rethink that... ![]() The property I live on hasn`t caught fire, yet. I wouldn`t mind having a home to go to when this is over. Maybe I`ll get lucky? |

Hi everyone and my thoughts are with you Sheriff, I can't even imagine how devastating it must be to be evacuated from your home never mind living with the threat of fire and smoke consuming your home and surroundings. To me Fire is the most frightening of all the disasters and its destroying beautiful British Columbia. I am glad to hear that at least you are safe in a Hotel and that you are being taken care of until its over with. A lot of my family is in B.C. my 1st cousin messaged me on FB yesterday and said his son who lives in Vernon BC was evacuated yesterday, he manages a gravel pit in Armstrong and donated a lot of his equipment to the fire fighters but he is afraid that the rest of his equipment will be consumed by the fire. They are saying there is so many tourists taking up all the Hotel rooms that there is no where for them to go when evacuated. My cousin lives in Cranbrook so his son can go to him as they aren't affected by the fires YET. Stay safe and hope your home escapes the devastation. |

Wow dear Outlaw , so sorry to hear this but glad your out and safe. California is dealing with it too. But we’re here for you as well if you wanna visit Cali. Well, the part that is still not burning. We have had some small hot spot fires around us but they knock it out quick like where I’m at. Stay safe, Peace and love to you. Kim |

Hey Zoe!...Thanks! Quote: They are saying there is so many tourists taking up all the Hotel rooms that there is no where for them to go when evacuated If you`re "ORDERED EVACUATED". Report to the designated "Emergency Services Support" centre, in your area. They will get you everything you need to survive the evacuation. Lodging, food, Ect...ect... Hey Kim!...Thanks! It`s been raining going into the 3rd day now. I`d say it`s knocked out 80% of the fire in my area, judging by Google Earth Zoom. Where I live looks much safer than it did 3 days ago. The entire area is still under "EVACUATION ORDER" though. |

Thanks Joe! I feel like I`m in a Disaster Movie. Unfortunately it`s real and I have to do all my own stunts. "That`s going to Leave a Bruise".

Greetings, peace to you, and glad you're safe, dear Sher'f! I have mixed feelings about wildfires. I mean, they are quite frightening and can "devastate" a LOT, including people and manmade structures in its path; however, they're kind of natural, too - the earth "cleansing" old, dry trees, brush, grass, etc., so that new growth can emerge (ash can act like a fertilizer). I learned through books I read as a child, that early Native Americans would routinely "fire" the prairie and forests every few years or so (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_use_of_fire_in_ecosystems) so that healthy, new, green, grass and trees could grow and various, even delicate, ecosystems could thrive. We all live where things such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanoes, heat waves, cold snaps, and wildfires do their "thing." Risky business, living on this planet, especially where such things often occur (which is usually where the land is most gorgeous to one). "Cursed" earth - may the end of THAT come - LOL! Peace to you all and to your dear household! Your servant, sister, and a slave of Christ, Shel(b) |

I know they didn`t start this one...LOL!! Maybe they can put it out with a Rain Dance... ![]() You can stop now!... I think that`s Enough Rain!! ![]()

So I needed to pick up a few things while I`m away from home. I get everything I need and head to the check out. The guy in front of me is wearing a belt and suspenders... ????????????????????????????? Why does anyone wear a belt and suspenders, at the same time??!! So no One can Steal My Pants... While I`m Wearing Them! ![]()
