Post subject:  The Pope & Other People's Wealth

Since when is it the Pope’s business to concern himself with other people’s wealth? Oh, wait! He’s the Pope. The Popes have always been concerned with “acquiring” the wealth of others. Oh, wait! Not this Pope.

Wait! Didn’t Christ tell his disciples to “sell their belongings, give to the poor, and go follow him”? What Pope has ever done that?

Wait! Isn’t the Roman Catholic Church one of the richest, if not the richest, church in the world? Why doesn’t IT “sell its belongings, and give it to the poor, and then go follow Christ”?

Wait! It’s the RCC and the Pope.

Never mind.

Now this current Pope is concerned with “others” distributing their wealth to the poor?. Why doesn’t this Pope start in its own backyard (the Vatican) and have a huge garage sale AND GIVE THE PROCEEDS TO THE POOR?

Never mind.

"Legitimate redistribution"? How will this Pope ad his team define/apply the word "legitimate"? Those who worked for it? Those to whom it was given? My guess is that any definition of "legitimate" will keep "redistribution" very close to home.

...kind of reminds me of when Oprah or some other TV personality gives cars to everyone in the audience...what about the folk who are so poor they can't afford to sit in the audience? Why not give something to them? Nooooo....it only goes to those who can boost the prestige of the luminary!

Interestingly to me, as my Lord just said to me, the pope (representing the RCC - part of BTG) is telling GOVERNMENTS (kings) what to do with their wealth.

But I do not remember Christ going to Caesar and telling Caesar what to do with his wealth. (Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's) I don't remember Christ getting into bed with Caesar at all, in the first place.

I realize that telling Kings that they should give their wealth (their excess at least) to the poor is "better" than telling kings that they (the popes, representing the 'church') allow/approve of kings/kingdoms making slaves of people (conquered people, criminal people, traitorous people, etc), but that the pope is telling them what they should do is just an example of the relationship BETWEEN them. (btg and the kings of the world) Perhaps the 'union' is not as happy as it once was... but the relationship is still there. Rather than being SOLELY with Christ.

You have to delete the "en." part after the "http//:"part but before the "wikipedia.org" part, luv (peace to you!).

Could be that they figure if you can afford a ticket to the show (often above $200), you can afford the taxes and fees ON such gifts, dear Anne B (peace to you, as well!). MANY people go on game shows and win prizes; however, they're not actually able to accept them because they can't pay the taxes/fees. Winning game show/receiving TV show "prizes" are often contingent on income/credit. Some do offer cash instead, but it's significantly less than the value of the actual "prize(s)."

I hope that helps!

Peace!

Much like the unemployment peanuts money the Greek government gives to us: Only 10% of the unemployed get them. The rest of us are 'rich capitalist pigs' and do not get them! So I am unemployed and receive $0 money to feed my family. They promise and promise and then give nothing: You go to get them and they tell you: you have a house you cannot get them. Oh yes, I can feed my children with bricks...

And so much for the "legitimate" redistribution of wealth. . . .

http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/03/08 ... calculate/

It begs the questions, how did the RCC "acquire" its wealth in the first place. . . . Legitimately? Or illegitimately?

Ah well. . . .
