I know The Pope is a touchy subject but I thought this was very sweet. Though I am curious as to security allowing it. I am wondering if this is common to allow this as I have always regarded the Pope events as very strict and security conscious??

It kind of made me think the pope was trying to emulate Jesus and bless the little children. I think he is trying to project a more down to earth image.
