Yes, dear Zoe (peace to you!). Helps me to think one should NEVER give up hope... or looking... where no body has been found (apparently, there was a hoax as to that for one of the girls). I cannot imagine giving up were it my daugher/son, no matter how old they were. Just thinking that they were waiting for me to come find/get them... would keep me going.

Glad the "story" for these girls ended as well as it did!

Not sure that was the "right" thing to do, dear Taze (peace to you!). Sort of the coward's way out, IMHO, rather than living with what he did (as his victims and family must). True, no one has to worry about him doing it again... but I can't think that there was absolutely NOTHING he could do to try and "redeem" himself, at least in the eyes of his own children. Even telling them he was sorry every day for the rest of his/their lives... and doing deeds to show that.

Maybe. Maybe not. Or maybe... there was Christ. For him... and for Judas. We'll have to wait and see, won't we? Please be assured, I'm in NO way condoning, justifying, or trying to overlook what Mr. Castro did, not by ANY means. Just thinkin' it might be best not to judge, since neither or Christ "rank" sin. Sin... is sin. And the wage of sin... is death. For ALL sin. And ALL of mankind sin. Which is why we ALL need a savior/redeemer FROM death. We don't all like to admit that or even recognize it... but it is the truth.

Besides JAH and Christ, I think only three other people (and perhaps members of their families) can rightly say what was "right" as to him. Or any criminal/sinner.

Yes, you don't have to hang yourself to do the 'right' thing, and you can even cause more harm, by denying those you have harmed at least an acknowledgment that you know you were wrong and that you did wrong them. You can't acknowledge your wrongdoing if you are dead, or apologize or repent or make any sort of amends. As long as you are living, you may still do these things. No matter how hard or unpleasant it might be.

Pedophiles WILL NOT STOP!They have no sense of decency.There is no cure or treatment.Its about power and control not about sex.The only way to pevent them from doing it again is prison for life or a hollowpoint in the brainpan.The prison term will cause taxpayers to PAY for the scumbag to eat and breathe.I prefer them dead and dont care if it hurts or if their mommy is heartbroken.They do more damage than good alive.
